No ring bearer??

Jessica , on March 1, 2018 at 4:59 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 13
Is it socially acceptable to not have a ring bearer?? As a blended family, we’re having my future step son as best man, my son walking me down the aisle, and our shared daughter as the flower girl. The only little boy in our family is my future SIL’s son, but we aren’t on speaking terms with her. (No bashing, if she even ends up getting invited, I still wouldn’t put her son in the wedding party)

if we don’t have a ring bearer, who carries the rings? The best man? Our moms?

Help!

We didn't have a ring bearer. And even if we did no way would I have a kid hold the rings. We have our rings to our coordinator who placed our rings on a dish we had on a table at the altar

We're not doing a ring bearer/flower girl. FH's brother will probably hold the rings.

I’m not going to have a ring bearer either. Don’t have any close boy to choose from and I’m not going to place anyone just fit the spot. The best man will be in charge of our rings

Hey Jessica! Lots of weddings don't have ring bearers!

We didn't have any since we kept our wedding adults-only. The best man held the rings! Smiley ring

You don’t need a ring bearer. Like others have said, the best man can hold the rings.

I'm having an adult only wedding. Best man will have at least one of the rings. Smiley smile I might have my Maid of Honor hold his ring and Best Man will hold my ring. Still deciding.

Thanks everyone! Our best man will be 8 at the time of the wedding, so maybe we will just do the idea where they are in a dish at the altar. I like that!

We aren’t having a ring bearer/flower girl. FW will probably ask the BM to hold them

I won’t have a ring bearer. The only reason I have a “flower girl” is because my brother just happened to have a baby and it was a girl (she doesn’t have an actual role or expectation, he’ll carry her down the aisle if she’s feeling it, if not, her name will be on a chalkboard somewhere and I’ll try to wrangle a picture with her at some point)

it super does not matter. Also these days most of the time, the “ring bearers” do not actual ‘bear the ring’ . Some responsible adult in the bridal party typically has them in their pocket,’or the officiant has them already. “Ring bearer” is basically just a way to show off cute kids in the family/friend circle

I really appreciate everyone’s advice. Although this is my 2nd wedding, it’s my first actual ceremony. My first was in a court house so it’s all new to me Smiley tongue

My FH and I don’t have a ring bearer so we chose to have his grandma give us the rings during the ceremony since the rings were hers and her late husbands Smiley smile
