Could you marry someone you haven't had sex with? Why or why not?

I think I could wait as long as we had discussed what it is we like sexually (assuming we aren’t virgins). I would want to make sure we were compatible otherwise I could just teach what I would want from him.

I have heard a lot of women reference sexual compatibility when questions like this come up.

Absolutely not! I think sexual compatibility is HUGE. Not being sexually compatible would be a deal breaker for me.

Do you think that you two could teach each other to do what you like?

No I couldn't. I couldn't or wouldn't marry a virgin again either. My first husband was one when we got together and he ended up wondering what else was out thee and cheating on me. It's a perk of being an older bride I guess

If we were both relatively inexperienced or virgins maybe. Not at my age now though. Two people can have deep connections and fizzle in bed. Like terribly. Unfortunately if one or both aren't able to work on it without anxiety getting in the way the situation only gets worse. I wouldn't want my new marriage to go through that.

Not if you don't have the experiences to know what you like. We're both VERY adventurous in that area. My exhusband was super conservative. It was just who he was, and to be honest, I was bored. There was no teaching. It wasn't necessarily technique, it was lack of ability/desire to try anything new.

I don't think I could. Physical intimacy is an important part of a healthy relationship and I honestly think there are things that can't be learned.

I couldn't. I'm kind of kinky, and would want to make sure our kinks were complementary.

I could do it. As long as your open and honest with each other you should be fine in my opinion

Nope. Nope, nope, nope. For a lot of the same reasons I think couples should live together before marriage. Not signing a contract (which is essentially what marriage is) if I don't 100% know what I'm signing up for.

I hadn't considered the possibility of cheating resulting. Thank you for sharing.

I'd be able to wait too but I don't know how the sexual compatibility would turn out.

Would you be concerned about the sexual compatibility once you too finally did have sex?

I like the connection you made to living together before marriage. This is a great point.
