Noah’s Event Venue - Orlando - Filed for Bankruptcy

Nicholas, on February 9, 2020 at 2:02 PM Posted in Planning 0 7
My fiancé and are were just informed by our wedding planner that the wedding venue we booked a few months ago, will be closing it’s doors (Noah’s Event Venue).

All of their venues across the country are closing because they filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in May of 2019. They did not inform any of their clients and still proceeded with sales. Today we received a call about the news and this threw us in for a surprise as we have made payments to the venue itself and to many vendors for our wedding date.
We are located in Orlando, FL but our families are coming from Connecticut, New York, and California. Our family members already made arrangements and paid their travel expenses.
We Viewed over 15 venues and when we saw Noah’s, we saw something special. The company did not issue any statement or any type of notice. This is probably one of the most unprofessional occurrences that we’ve been apart of. Now we have to inform our vendors with hopes of receiving refunds. We have to start from scratch again, but at least we are a year away.

Other brides on here have been posting about the same thing happening to them! It is just horrible of Noah's event venue to do this to so many people. I can't imagine how stressed and upset you must be. I'm outraged on your behalf! The chances of being able to sue them and get your money back apparently is very low. I'm so sorry this happened to you!!!

I’m so sorry this has happened to you. There are several other brides on this forum going through the same thing as you, all across the country. It’s so terrible this company has done this to you ladies and your fiancés!
Try to find a venue that has your date available. That way you can keep your current vendors and your family that has already made travel plans does not have to cancel anything.

You are like the 5th bride to post something like this and it is so sad they did that. This horribly sucks how many couples they did this to. I am so sorry and praying you find something better.

Call around to other venues in your area, many places are offering discounts to help those affected by Noah closing.

I'm sorry you are having to deal with this. At least you have a year. To keep it cheap, I'd suggest a museum, learning facility since they have other streams of income. Keeps costs low. Keep your head up. Just do some research.

Im so sorry your dealing with this. When I first got engaged everyone told me to look into Noah's and im in Maumee OH. They weren't finish building it and was told that they will let us know when its done. Now that its been 9 months im seeing all these nasty reviews about how they took their money. I couldn't image dealing with this. The venue looked beautiful too.. Good luck on your journey.

I was just reading up on this in an article. And it seems a lot of venues and vendors are understanding about it so try your best to find a new venue that can accommodate. I'm so sorry you're going thru this and hope everything works out for you.
