Nola/french Quarter honeymoon

Jordan, on December 20, 2021 at 5:42 PM Posted in Honeymoon 1 7

Hi there! My fiance and I are planning a trip to NOLA (French Quarter in particular) for our honeymoon next November. I would love to hear from couples who have done the same and if you have any recommendations/tips for honeymooning in that area!

NOLA is sooooo much fun!! The food and music alone are worth the trip! We enjoyed walking Bourbon and Frenchman Streets and just popping into shops or bars that looked interesting to us. I would highly suggest taking a nighttime vampire walking tour! The one we took was absolutely incredible! It isn’t just talk of vampires, it’s more of a mix of regular and macabre histories of the city, presented in a more dynamic way. Make sure you ask around for the best tour guides though, because they will make or break the experience! We also did a cemetery tour during the day, which was really cool! If you are into architecture, the garden district is absolutely beautiful, and accessible by trolley. We also enjoyed strolling around the St. Louis Cathedral area- there are local artists set up all around the area, and we bought a beautiful piece of artwork from them. You can also get your fortune read or caricature drawn. One of the best things about New Orleans is people watching! You will see everything down there LOL

NOLA is an excellent choice. We did not do our honeymoon there but my now husband and I have traveled there quite a bit. Do it. It's the US but feels completely different!

    Love NOLA!

did not do it for honeymoon but my husband and i did go there on a trip years ago.

we went to the mardi gras world where you see where the floats are stored for the mardi gras parade, we went on a swamp tour, we went on a walking cemetery/city tour, we went on a jazz brunch cruise, a burlesque show at night, etc
