So I will give more advice in my pro bam post later on but just wanted to check in and let you all know how things went! I generally believe the day would fly by but I had no idea how fast it would feel until I was in the moment living it. One minute I am dancing and singing with my bridesmaids while getting ready and the next I am leaving in my new husbands car. There were a lot of hiccups that day (and the day before as well) that caused a HUGE amount of stress (aka cake being wrong, fridge with wedding food going out, rain causing us to not get as many pictures as we wanted, etc.) but we made the most of it. There are moments that stand out in my mind more than any of them and they are 1) my first look with my dad, 2) (an unexpectedly beautiful moment) when taking pictures with my bridesmaids, my videographer has them surround me and look at me and each day one thing they loved about me and our friendship which was the most beautiful moment I will never forget, 3) a blindfolded “first look” I had with my husband; we each took turns praying together and he cried more than I ever thought he would. He caused me to cry so much I could hardly get my prayer out. And finally 4) the moment just before walking down the aisle to him. My hands were shaking so bad and my heart was pounding. My dad reaches over and held my hand while I was holding his arm and a calm washed over me. As soon as I saw my husbands standing there at the end of the aisle, crying like a baby, all the nerves melted into tears of joy.
All of that to say, your day may be hectic, crazy, and at times you may have things go so wrong you want to go bridezilla on EVERYONE WHO TALKS TO YOU, but take time to soak moments like these in. Because they are so beautiful and will last a lifetime. Thank you all for all of your help and advice on this journey with me through wedding planning! Good luck to all of you beautiful brides! ❤️ Here are some pictures my family and friends captured of the day. More to come!
