Looking for some sort of unity thing to do. Something that not everyone else is doing. After looking On Pinterest here is what I have found.

Hand fasting/ binding of hands
trying the knot
time capsule/ memory box
love letter box (open after first fight)
anniversary box, letters of why you got married and wine and then replace with new letter and new wine every year.
A cord of three strands (a braid)

any my other ideas other than the candle, sand, and planting a tree.

We are getting married at a brewery and doing a unity beer. LOL. We are going to each pour our favorite beer into a big pilsner glass.

I think my FH and I are going to each pick a bottle of beer to mix together in a big mug with our name on it (or what will be my name...). I saw a lot of mixing of wines and whiskeys when I was looking into options, too. We just don't drink wine or whiskey.

I love the idea of planting a tree. I've thought of that one. I had not thought of the love letter box. I love it

I came here to say something like this. Bright blessings fellow Pagan!

But now that I'm thinking about unique ways to do a union ceremony, the craft beer or wine combination mentioned by PPs sounds cool! It sorta reminds me what my cousin and his wife did. They took two glasses of regular water and poured them into a bigger container. I'm guessing there was a sort of coloring in the bottom of the big glass, because the water turned green- for prosperity in their marriage. It was shocking and really cool from a guest's perspective.

    Hope that helps!

What about a painted canvas unity ceremony? It would be something unique and you would always have it.

So I was set on not doing a unity thing because they all seemed played out or religious. Until I saw this picture in the “recent added photos” feed on WW and I had to check it out!!! I love this idea and am going to bring it up to FH tonight! Thanks!!

I thought it was something really cute and different. I hope your fiance likes it since you love it. You'll have to let me know if you end up doing it Smiley smile

I'm leaning toward hand-cleansing. It's like washing away the past and starting new.
