Non-religious wedding Ceremony

Julia, on October 5, 2023 at 2:14 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 3
Neither me or my Fiance are religious (he's Christian but not religious and I'm an Atheist) so I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for a non religious wedding ceremony

Reach out to nondenominational Officiant in your area. They will have done many non-religious ceremonies and can guide you.

We had a non-religious wedding and our officiant created our ceremony. Our ceremony included my grandmother reading a poem she wrote specifically for our wedding day. We also did a sand unity ceremony where we combined two different colors of sand to represent the combining of our lives and families. We wrote our own vows as well. A good officiant should be able to write the ceremony script to reflect you as a couple.

There are literally hundreds of scripts "out there" on line for non-religious ceremonies. You can incorporate a sand unity, as stated above, or look into adding a hand fasting ceremony (they are so pretty!) We got married on the beach and had a non-religious ceremony, yet the 4 staunch Catholic cousins in attendance LOVED our whole ceremony including our readings - also non-religious. Have fun planning.
