Non Rustic Brides

Where have you guys been able to find decor and stuff for the wedding??? I feel like every website and store only has things for rustic weddings (mason jars, burlap, chalkboard, etc. ). I have nothing against any of it but it is just not our style. I still need a few items and don't know where to...

Hobby Lobby is amazing if you have one near by - they have a ton of things that are black and white (some with gold accents, which is a hot trend right now, but most not). Target is great for it too.

Christina, our invited were black and white (and cheap while classy) from vistaprint! I got 50 for around $70 during their 40% off sale! I really loved them because I'm going for classic modern with a little bit of vintage twist (because I just love old things)

@future mrs.jkr: We were finally able to find some we liked from David's Bridal. It was really hard because FH said he wanted black with white wording.

My wedding is the opposite of rustic and I got a lot of things off ebay and fabric depot/michaels. I am doing 1920s Gatsby style so it is really hard to find "wedding things" in this era.....you really have to have an open mind and put things together....you wont find much if searching through wedding supplies.

There is a lot of inspiration I found for black and white. I hope you don't mind if I share. I hope it helps.

Okay one more, in this one they brought in gold accents. I love the look of black and white stripped ribbons as accents.

Tag sales and consignment shops! Not only is it greener, but it is giving us that vintage feel we wanted... And for CHEAP. Milk glass just like what is on BDHLN right now? We got a whole grocery bag full for $3 at a tag sale last weekend! My wedding isn't putting more stress on the environment, and I'll be able to keep these to use for flowers in my home.

Love your invites. We bought all of our singage from esty. We got lots of framing and containers from Hobby Lobby. Material for dyi stuff from hobby lobby as well. Candles from yummi candles. We ended up making table letters, and card boxes because we had such a hard time finding non rustic items that were affordable.

@Sassy Cincy Bride, I'd love to see some of the stuff you've found. I'm going for exactly the same feel Smiley smile

Definitely IKEA. They have awesome stuff and for cheap. They tend to stay more modern and veer away from kitchy stuff like rustic décor. I love modern, sleek, black and white theme. Our home décor is actually opposite of our Redneck Classy wedding. Our house is completely streamlined, modern with black, whites and grays.

TJMaxx is also awesome for décor, all different types.

Ikea and Etsy have been my inspiration so far. My wedding planner was so excited that we are getting married in Denver and NOT having anything rustic about our wedding. She said if she never hears the words "mason jar" again, it will be too soon! But of course she'll tell all of her rustic brides how lovely their idea is.

We're definitely not doing a rustic wedding. I second all the places the other ladies have suggested. Also, check out lunabaazar.com. They've got some fun stuff there.

I've also found some really great glassware and stuff at Tuesday Morning and World Market if you have either of those nearby.

I've been stalking IKEA and hobby lobby. Also afloral.com (shipping could get expensive).
