Non-traditional Venue Options in Pa, Nj, or de

Nicole, on June 4, 2019 at 10:35 AM Posted in New Jersey Planning 1 8

Hi Ladies! I am looking for a non-traditional estate for our wedding Venue. Ideally, it would be an estate we can rent out for the entire weekend (affordable) on a lake with large grassy grounds that we can have an outdoor tented wedding and ceremony.

I found a place I wanted to get married in NJ called Eagle Manor Estate, however when I called they had ZERO openings available for 2020 which is the year we are hoping to get married and I'm pretty bummed about it. It was only 5k to rent the estate and grounds for the entire weekend from Friday-Monday. See link below to the Air Bnb to get an idea of what it looks like.

I am looking for something unique and very affordable like this so we can rent out for the entire weekend. Does anyone know of any places like this near Philadelphia? (1-2 hr drive?) We would do campgrounds as well, open to ideas! Just want it to be outside and ideally close to water.

Thank you SOO much for any help!

Here's some links that may help. Some may be close to what you want, others not. I actually saw quite a few venues like you're describing when I was looking a year ago but I can't remember them all. If I find my notes, I'll update.

Lake Raystown is in Huntingdon, PA and GORGEOUS with tons of mountains surrounding. Its about 3 hours from Philly so maybe too far?

You should check out the Lake House Inn. Beautiful venue on a lake with guest rooms you can stay in. The exclusive caterer is Jeffery A Miller. Their food is all seasonal, fresh, farm to table so really great and not your standard wedding fare. We're using them for our wedding at a different venue this September and can't wait! Good luck with wedding planning!
