Non-traditional wedding music? coheed & cambria

Kyrie, on November 10, 2019 at 1:26 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 3

So my fiance and i are huge coheed and cambria fans - we have the amori wars comic books and everything.

anyways- we were thinking of using one of their songs for our first dance but also not sure about the wording or feelings in some of them. Any thoughts?

thoughts? Or ideas of other songs by them that might be fitting. We're going to be using a portion of the beginning from the dark sentencer for our entrance into reception.

    It is your wedding.

My daughter's first dance will be to a Shinedown song. Most guests will not know it, but it is not for the guests, it is for them. Do what means something to you two.

I love Coheed And Cambria so I think they are a great choice. I would have to go with Wake Up. It kind of has a spend the rest of my life with you feel to it in my opinion. I would suggest playing each to see if one song seems to bring up more emotion or feeling for you both than the other two. That may be the best way to pick.

Hey Kyrie!! As the pps mentioned, you can absolutely use whatever song makes you and your FH happy. It is not important that it is familiar to your guests, it is important that the song means something special to you both. If that is your favorite band, then definitely use one of their songs!!
