Non traditional wedding processional songs♡

Futuremrsresendiz, on February 7, 2019 at 9:57 AM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 17
I'm doing a "happily ever after" love story theme. (Were high school sweet hearts, our son is our ring bearer♡been together 8 years) We have a small wedding party, just MOH, Best Man, 2 flower girls, 1 ring bearer, 1 usher. But we're including our parents, grandparents and sister in the processional kind of like the wedding party but they wont be staying up front with us. I'm wanting something non traditional to play when they're all walking down, I was thinking A Thousand Years by Christina Perry but now I'm doubting myself 🤦🏻‍♀️ opinions??
I'm walking down the isle to Speechless by Dan and Shay.

That is a really popular song, and great for weddings...good choice. For our ceremony we will be doing "A Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong for the grandparents & parents to walk in to. "Can't Help Falling in Love with You" by Elvis Presley for the bridal party to walk in to. "At Last" by Etta James for me (the bride lol) to walk in to. AND "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" by Stevie Wonder for our recessional.

Have you looked into like guitar instrumental songs of a thousand years or another love song? That would be super pretty. My husband played “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran on guitar for a wedding processional. It was so pretty!

Say you won’t let go is by James Arthur. Make you feel my love has a million different versions I don’t even know which one is original. But both songs are easy to find on google.

All of my songs are non traditional, more raggae and soul. We don't want a Dj, we're shooting for playlist on speakers. We want a family reunion style wedding so there's a lot of non traditional things about it. I don't want a Dj to just play whatever, I have music for almost the entire event and I feel no shame lol

I am also walking in with a non-traditional wedding song. I am using Lady Gaga - Is That Alright? from the movie A Star is Born. Getting the timing right so that I get to the alter as it ends, is the tricky part.

Ever Ever After by Carrie Underwood would be really cute for your happily ever after theme. Give it a listen.

Enchanted - Carrie Underwood - Ever Ever After

Also At the Beginning - By Richard Marx and Donna Lewis

I was thinking about doing a Thousand years myself, it is a beautiful song but since i love disney movies FH wanted me to make that a part of our wedding so instead our bridal party will be walking down to the piano piece from a corpse bride and I will be walking down to the opening theme song of outlander on the piano. They aren't traditional but they are still beautiful so maybe look into something like that.
