Hey everybody!! This is my first post in this app, so I hope I’m doing this right. I would love to hear experiences and advice on hosting non venue weddings, outdoors, park/waterfall style weddings. Where the ceremony and reception are in the same place. With a tent for food and dancing, etc and just having an outdoor celebration basically. Alternatively, renting a lodge for everyone to stay in and performing the ceremony on the grounds and having the party there. I’m stuck trying to find places like this or info on how it’s done and what’s needed. Thank you all in advance!! 🖤

Hi Christina! I love your wedding vision!! But you'll still have to rent a venue to do this! Some venues have semi-permanent tents already built on their property, and others will just provide the outdoor space and you'll need to rent your own tent (which is pricey!)
The other thing to keep in mind when trying to DIY your wedding like this (either at a lodge or an outdoor space) is that you'll need to provide everything! Tables, chairs, lighting, power, silverware, plates, glasses, tablecloths, water, etc.
But if you have a small enough guest list renting a lodge could definitely work!
