Noom....anyone use it?

Tina, on August 11, 2019 at 1:40 PM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 14
I keep seeing Noom being advertised on my Facebook feed. Just wondered if anyone here has used the service and if you thought it was worth the money.

The stress of everything going on in my life right now, not including the wedding has had me piling on the pounds. Need all the extra help I can get!

I’ve used it before. It’s a good service. You have daily assignments and log your food via the app. A coach has access to everything you input. You have a weekly chat with the coach and some assignments to complete. It’s a pretty good service if you put the effort into it.

I haven’t used the paid version. The free version is decent for tracking food/exercise/weight, but I prefer myfitnesspal!

I used to do mfp. Logged every day for three years. I guess I just need to get back to it.

I considered using it, but I’m not too sure. I’ve heard it’s pretty good and my sister who’s a doctor actually recommend I use it if I want to lose some weight (though I have a health condition that is making it harder to lose weight than I like). I’ve considered downloading it, my only questions is, is it free?

It has a free two week trial but not a free service. I believe it's like $159 for 6 months or something like that.

I haven't used noom, but had great luck with Weight Watchers. When I actually stick with it, I easily lose 2 lb per week with just the diet, and up to 4 with exercise (I'm moving right now so I've been off it lately, but haven't gained any weight back because I've learned new eating habits). I usually prep a batch of one or two recipes on Sunday so I can pack lunch and have dinners available throughout the week, and I've learned which restaurants work best with the plan. They also have a partnership with Blue Apron now which is great for dinners. I used to use mfp, but have found that WW has a better catalog and they encourage you to focus on lean proteins, fruits and veggies.

I'm actually using Isagenix products and doing a modified keto diet. I drink a shake for breakfast and lunch, and for dinner I eat protein and vegetables. For snacks I eat some of the Isagenix products and a lot of fresh veggies. I stay away from carbs and fruit. I have been working out about 4 times a week and walking when I can.

I did weight watchers for a while, but I lost a few pounds and then just couldn't lose anymore.

I've been using noom. I had lost almost 50 pounds just following the diet advice. I fell off the wagon and gained some back, but now I'm trying my best again. If you go to the website but don't sign up, they may send you a discount to sign up. I paid $99 for the first 4 months and now I'm paying $15/month and can quit paying any time I want.

I have never used Noom, but I do use Beachbody. I swear by Beachbody!!!! They have hundreds of different programs, workouts, and trainers. You can workout from anywhere (phone, laptop, tv) and most workout programs have workouts that are anywhere from 20-30 minutes!! You can get a full year of Beachbody on Demand for $99. Or you can choose a challenge pack that Has Beachbody on demand along with other program equipment and their beloved Shakeology. My advice: try Beachbody!!!

I dont Recommend anyone use them. They charged me for a full service when I had only signed up for the trial. I had To go through my bank to get the money back.

I enjoyed noom because I felt like the coach and other members of my group helped keep me more accountable than doing MFP for logging or just going it alone. If you can self motivate and hold yourself accountable, that was the most worthwhile part of it to me because I can track my meals and exercise for free.

Like Jenny suggested, I do love Beachbody - I actually bought a few DVDs way back in like 2006 that I loved and actually enjoyed doing. The subscription they have now gives you access to tons of workouts, which is great if you don't know what you like or don't like doing the same thing over and over.
