Noooo!!!! The design i had for my wedding invites is no longer available on Shutterfly!

Sara, on March 4, 2021 at 12:36 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 8

I ordered invitations last May, knowing that we most likely were going to cancel our September wedding. I ordered them because Shutterfly was doing a promise on letting you order new ones free of charge in case of needing to postpone. We did cancel and postpone to this August and I am starting to feel pretty hopeful that we will be able to go through with it. So I started to do some diving on how to get these reprints only to find out that Shutterfly no longer offers that card!

It was by Claire Pettibone and I absolutely loved it and I would not have wasted money buying those invites last year if I knew the style would leave Shutterfly. I can't seem to find this style anywhere else so if anyone has any ideas on where to find them please let me know! I am going to try to get a hold of Shutterfly and see if there is any way to get them printed even if they are not offered.

As a side note, how much trouble can you get in if I can find the original artwork and use it to make my own invites?

You can send an email to Claire Pettibone (a really neat dress designer based in LA) and see what she thinks. She still works in the studio itself!

Really?! That would be amazing if she could help me out! Shutterfly credited back my money, and told me to keep checking back for when they are back in stock. It just stinks and I'm hoping it comes back in stock at some point before June.

I would definitely not take the artist's original artwork and print your own. That's infringing on her copyright. Especially since you know the name of the artist, I would reach out to her directly.

I'm sorry to hear that. I've been drawing since I was a teenager. Once I read teechip reviews and started often sold my works there. My husband and I will have a wedding next year and there I saw one really good design for invitations. Since I can draw a little bit, I will try to do something like what I saw but on my own. I think it's much cooler and nicer when I do it myrself. Why don't you give it a try too?
