Normal length of engagement?

Like others said, I think whatever works for each couple is “normal”. My FH and I have been together almost 11 years. We got engaged in March. Our engagement will have been a year and a half long by the time of our wedding. It’s been perfect for us.

I think that an engagement should be however long you want it to be, as long as the end game is a wedding! Everyone will have differing opinions, don't worry about it. Two years will give you the time to plan and save money so you're super prepared for your big day.

FH and I have been together for seven years (11/10/10 - present). He proposed on September 29th, 2017 and we'll be getting married November 10th, 2018 (our eight anniversary); so our engagement will be for a little under one year and two months.

We we're engaged for 2 months.

Im considering the same as we are older and want to start a family.

By the time we get married it would of been 17 months!!

Personally 2 years is nice!! Financially I would of waited 2 years as well but my mother is ill and I wanted her to be in it when she was stronger and as time goes by she gets weaker.
