Normal to not get copy of countersigned contract?

Nope! Insist on getting one so you can add it to your stack of other vendors

Have you asked your DJ for a copy? He might not realize that you want a signed copy as well (though I think it should be standard to give one).

I have gotten a signed contract back from every singe one of my vendors. I would ask them for the signed copy!

My DJ didn't send one back either. But, our was a friend of a friend so I feel like that's probably why.

I would reach out and ask for the finalized copy back.

Well, reading this thread has been super helpful to me! I would say I only got a countersigned contract from half my vendors. I really hadn’t thought much of it, but after seeing everyone else’s posts, I think I will be sending out some emails!

Ask him for a copy with both of your signatures on it. I'm not saying that you will need it, but if you don't have it, odds are you're going to end up needing it. It best to have a copy of all signed documents from both parties in case of emergencies or if you have questions about what is in your contract.
