Not big on dieting and desperate to lose weight, gonna start the "S" diet!

Mrs L, on January 17, 2012 at 11:26 AM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 48

Ok as of the 25th of this month I have 30 days until taking my dress in to be altered! I have lost 22 pounds without really dieting. I hate diets! I have been exercising and have now come up with what I am calling the "S" diet. Slim fast, salad and soup! for 30 days I am going to do a diet that consists of a slim fast breakfast, salad lunch, and a soup for dinner. I will take extra vitamins, and drink LOTS of water, and continue to exercise. I will change the soups, and salad dressings so as not to get bored! and this will be a six day a week diet, and on the 7 day, I will eat smart! What do you all think? I know I can do it! When I first started I weighed 249, I now weigh 227, and want to weigh 200 or less by my wedding in 74 days!

Diets suck @ss! What are you putting in your salads? What kind of dressings do you use?

Also, I may change up the soup for lunch, and salad for dinner on some days! We always eat dinner before 6 pm so that is also helpful.

Well, I saw this and thought it was AWESOME:

Salad in a jar! And she includes the recipe for her salad dressing. Very simple and you're not buying all of those corn syrup, fat-laden dressings. I'm thinking of making a couple for next week.

And remember, protein is a great way to keep those tummy grumblies away. You could throw in a hard boiled egg with your breakfast, into your salad, also a handful of almonds, walnuts or pistachios would go great with your salad too.

Sounds healthy enough. Just make sure you're getting enough protein, it will help you feel full. Add chicken or shrimp to your salads… and carbs aren't the enemy, they give you energy. You don't need to eat bread, but maybe some quinoa (carbs and protein), and sweet potatoes or beets (carbs and vitamins).

Also, instead of slim fast in the morning, you could make a fruit smoothie with protein packed yogurt (i like greek the best for this). My freezer is stocked with various frozen berries and then I add a scoop of yogurt and either OJ or soy milk to get it to a drinkable consistency. It'll have more nutrients, and fewer chemicals than the slimfast.

    Good luck!

I would just substitute slimfast for breakfast for some protein. Eggs, ham, greek yoghurt, that type of stuff. Protein will keep you full longer, give you more energy for workouts, and help build muscle, which will in turn burn more calories. Slim fast actually has a lot of sugar and that can make you feel more hungry and cause cravings. Just a suggestion!
