Not having a Bachelorette Party

Marné, on July 29, 2019 at 10:08 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 11
Anyone else not having a bachelorette party? I'm a little disappointed, I want one but unfortunately it's just not feasible with the timing of our wedding next February 9th. The only weekend we would have been able to pull it off is in January in the dead of winter. I thought about doing something local but all of my bridesmaids and friends live out of state. Anyone else have this problem? Do you regret not having a bachelorette party?

I’m not having one and I am actually happy about it. I am very laid back and don’t like bars or clubs. So I had a friend over and we drank and went kayaking that was my “bachelorette party” and I loved it.

I possibly won’t have one either. I really want one but I don’t think I will be able to pull it off. I was trying to do it the week of the wedding so that way everyone can come but most of the bridesmaids won’t come down early even though I gave them a heads up over a year ahead. I haven’t asked for much or any at all. I also paid for their place to stay for the week. Plus I didn’t want to go out, I wanted to do mani/pedi and a painting class with the girls. If I do it then it will just be 2 of my 5 girls and my mother in law.

I’m not having one and I’m totally okay with it. Not sure how to explain why, I just am. I do love to party and have a great time but going out without FH is not that important to me. I guess, to each his own .

I may not be having one either. I only have 2 girls, one is pregnant and one is out of state who is unable to come until a couple days before the wedding. If anything, we may just have something local when she and some of my closest friends get here. I do feel a little jealous of my FH I have to admit, as he is having one which would occur the weekend before the big day. They would be renting a house and doing a bunch of activities. Ladies, are your FHs having a bachelor party?

I semiorganized a little girls night a couple days before the wedding since all my girls were in town. I wanted to have something to do while H was at his bach party. It was low key, dinner and pottery painting!

I didn't have one - my ladies were spread all over the country and came just a few days before the wedding. They did take me to get my nails done the day before the wedding and had set up some special stuff (a tiara veil thingy, sash, mimosas and cookies) it was awesome.

I mean, I guess I could have technically gone without a bachelorette party/weekend but I think I definitely would have regretted not doing one. I will say too, my FH had completely decided he didn't have the time and didn't want to do one, but as it came closer to mine, he kind of felt left out of the excitement. He ended up just doing something local with a few guys and he was very glad he did instead of skipping completely out. So maybe something local could be an option? Or something as simple as a small get-together?

January wouldn't be bad! I would find a hotel with a nice bar area that is nearby an activity you like. Theatre, movies, art gallery, etc? Just focus on activities that are inside, use a taxi and I'm sure you ladies would have a blast.

I went to see Beauty and the Beast (live action) and ate Italian food with my sister (matron of honor) after we found my wedding dress. I consider that my "bachelorette" party. My best friend wasn't able to come to my wedding since she lives on the other side of the country. I am pretty introverted and dinner and a movie is about all the party I would have wanted anyway.
