Not hiring hair stylist for bridesmaids

This is fine. Usually if the bride wants a certain hairstyle or wants the girls to get their hair done she will pay for this, but if she doesn't care then it is up to the girls to do it themselves or hire someone and pay for it.

I paid for makeup for my girls but told them I didn't care about what they did with their hair. They were all fine just doing it themselves.

I mean, would it be okay for them to get their hair done by a different stylist that isn’t yours?

I would want the option to at least get my hair done elsewhere if you weren't going to have hair/makeup onsite. I cant do hair for the life of me and would want to get something done, even if it was a more "natural" look.

I generally think that's fine, but I agree that I'd be at a bit of a loss if I was told to do this just because I don't really style my hair when it's down very often, so the only thing I'd feel confident doing is straightening it and pinning one side back in a twist/braid. I think it depends a little on your bridesmaids, but if they're comfortable and/or at least one of them can kind of help other who may be lost, I see nothing wrong with it.

I would want the option to have someone do my hair. Especially if it's a specific style that you want. Sometimes my hair cooperates and sometimes it doesn't so I would want the option to have someone else do it. Unless you have a bridesmaid or someone who could at least help achieve the look you are going for.

I discussed this with my bridesmaids. I told.them that I wasnt requiring they have their hair done a certain way, so they could go get their hair done or do it themselves. They appreciated not having to spend the money. I would just ask.

I would be bummed as a bridesmaid. I can't do my hair really at all, so it would basically just be plain and I'd feel bleh. I've been a bridesmaid twice, both times I've paid for HAMU. I paid for HAMU for all my bridesmaids and they didn't look overly fancy or anything, they looked beautiful.

I cannot style my hair to save my life, so I would at least want to know that a stylist is an option as a bridesmaid, even if I am paying for it.

I had my moms friend do my hair and the bridemaids did their own hair and helped each other with their hair. I don't see anything wrong with it.
