Not wearing white to bachelorette party

Lindsey, on May 24, 2018 at 4:40 AM Posted in Parties and Events 0 31

I bought some cute white dresses off macys and Amazon but I am not loving them, I am tall (six feet) and on the heavier side and they all fit me so weird and make me look huge- I am not sure if its the white color? They seem to hit my body at weird points, which it super noticeable with the light colors.

I ordered some silver and sequence dresses but I am still nervous my brides maids will think its weird I didn't wear white. They should be in Friday. We are going to Boston for the night but I am not sure what or where

I am wearing blush to my bridal shower but that's kind of different I think?

Ok, you look super cute! But if you're uncomfortable, that's more important. There's no law that you have to wear white. I'm in a city where there are always a ton of bachelorette weekends and a lot of brides don't. It's still pretty obvious that she's the bride, though.

Yeah, if I am thinking what my friends are thinking I am probably going to have a tiara and sash.

I think it being night may look weird in all white too?

I don’t like white on me either so when my sister was ordering shirts for my bachelorette I asked for gray. And I’ve been looking at more floral dresses for my bridal shower. I think you’re fine to not wear white!

You definitely do not have to wear white to your bachelorette party. It’s not a rule and I can’t see anyone judging you for wearing what you’re comfortable in. I plan on myself and the rest of my bridesmaids all wearing LBDs.

I don’t think white is at all necessary - many brides just choose it because it’s fun to stick with them he white theme for everything. I think it’s actually a little impractical for many bachelorette parties, since you’re more likely to be active or eating messy food and drinks. I’m orobably going to wear a simple white dress or even just a white top to dinner that night, but I won’t be comfortable like that all day. I don’t think it’s a big deal at all for your to wear something else.

I don't think it matters what you're wearing, as long as you're comfortable and happy!!! I'm 5'9" and on the heavier side so I TOTALLY feel your pain. Maybe try long dresses too? I usually feel a lot better in those because they don't flare out at the hips as much.

Honestly, from the pictures, I think you're rocking that dress, but if I were wearing it, I'd be uncomfortable too.

I'm almost 5'10", so I feel your pain girl. Personally I think that dress is beautiful on you, but you definitely want to go with something you're comfortable with!

I think that dress is cute! I also don't think you have to wear white though. I know I wont be, the only white dress I ever plan on wearing is my wedding dress, but that's because I really only feel comfortable in black.

I never wore white on mine besides the t-shirt the girls got for me to wear. I wore whatever I felt comfortable in. One night they wore all black and I wore like a gold sequin dress,

No rule you have to wear white to Bach party or shower. Wear what you want. Most people don't look that good in white anyways. Personally I don't think that dress does much for you, esp with the horizontal stripes.

Heavy? Girl were at? Im 5'10 and I think ur shaped like me. Nothin wrong with hips!!! I think the dress looks good. If I were wearing it, and I so would, all I would add is a panty bodyshaper that goes over belly and hips, just to shape me up a bit.

Your dress is very cute, but I encourage you to wear whatever will make you feel most comfortable. I don't remember any of my friends or my sister wearing white dresses at their bachelorette parties, so I do not imagine anyone would think anything of wearing a different color or style. Have a fun party!

I didn't wear white to any event. My wedding dress was ivory and blush. I wore black lace to my shower. green to rehearsal. All black top, pants, boots, and green jacket to bach party.

Wear what you feel good in. Doesn't matter the color.
