Not your average wedding party announcement songs

We are currently picking all of our wedding songs, who knew you had to pick so many? UGH!! Anyways my FH wants to pick the songs that we and our bridal party get announced into the reception to. I figured why not? One less thing I need to research and look into right? So he gave me a list of what he...

We are currently picking all of our wedding songs, who knew you had to pick so many? UGH!! Anyways my FH wants to pick the songs that we and our bridal party get announced into the reception to. I figured why not? One less thing I need to research and look into right? So he gave me a list of what he likes and wants. I don't know why I am surprised by the list but it's basically a mix of Slayer, Rage against the machine, Pantera, Metallica and one random Eminem song. So not your average wedding entrance songs to say the least. He said he just wants to do the instrumentals and no lyrics, so thank god for that. He really wants this, it's just so his style and considering this is his wedding too I think he should have what he wants. Most people at our wedding will get it and know he obviously picked the music. I know I may be overthinking it but I am just curious from a guest perspective what would you think? Would it even matter to you? Would you be like wtf is going on here? or no?

    Go for it! I'm surprising FH for our grand entrance song and using the instrumental of one of his favorite Bloodhound Gang songs. Either The Ballad of Chasey Lane or Uhn Tiss (instrumental versions, people will still be too sober for the lyrics to play ahaa) and I'm thinking about walking down the aisle to Is This Love by Bob Marley, also FH favorite song and one of mine too

    Go for it! My husband walked into our ceremony to Metallica. It was an instrumental version.

    Go for it. Picking the music is the hardest thing for me as well. I still haven't picked our song to walk into but maybe i will consider a metallica or journey since those are FH fave bands

    I like it! Including the husband in the wedding planning is a rare thing!! We are doing country and some heavy metal entrance for the guys.

    I think it's fine if it's just the entrances, but not more.

    Personally I'd probably lean more toward Metallica/Pantera than Slayer/Eminem. Everybody likes Metallica. As long as nothing is offensive in the music and it's just an entrance, it would make me smile.

    You just described my wedding playlist. Surely everyone that knows him well enough to be there will understand that Taylor Swift or Mariah Carey just wouldn't fit. I came to the realization that the music we play will directly affect his mood and I want every smile to be as genuine as possible.

    I wanted to come out to Who Let the Dogs Out but FH quickly turned that down lol. I think it would be awesome and it's personal to you!
