My fiancé and I got engaged in February of 2020, prior to the COVID lockdown and all through 2020 I didn’t really stress about our November 2021 wedding because I felt that everything would pass by then. But, now it’s January 2021 and I see a lot of brides getting married in 2021 who are stressed about the pandemic impacting their day. My wedding was never going to be super large, about 85-100 people but, I don’t think I want to postpone it because I really just don’t know what’s going to happen. It’s been hard to get excited about the wedding planning process with this pandemic looming over my head. Obviously, in retrospect, there are people who are really suffering during this time so, I don’t want to sound silly; but, I wonder if anyone is feeling the same way right now and what their plans are.

That is awesome! I think things will be okay by then. It’s just the unknown that is so unsettling. But I think your day will be fabulous and the smaller wedding was definitely the way to go.❤️

The unknown of this all is definitely getting to me. Our wedding was originally planned for June 2020 and the lead up to postponing that was full of tears. We ended up doing a small backyard wedding that day and postponing the bigger celebration to August 2020 then again to June 2021. I'm not mentally prepared to postpone another year but I know it's a very real possibility. We're trying not to make any decisions until late winter/early spring. For a November 2021 wedding you still have plenty of time to see if you can safely go on as planned or not but either way I'm sure it will be beautiful and you'll find a way to make it perfect for you.

11/13/21 twin here! Lol my sister in law just passed from covid. So I get it but I'm doing out side wedding so they can move chairs and stuff as far away as they would like. Mine is family and super close friends anyways. I was told to do what I can to make my day as happy as I can. Things are going to happen cobid or not just make the day about you and yours. That's what truly matters.

Yeah, that’s all we can do! We’ll probably know more by May and judge then.

11/13/21 bride! We got engaged in January 2019 and decided to just enjoy begging engaged while I finished nursing school. Well, here I am graduated last month and struggling to play catch up. So many vendors have told me that normally around this time they’d have availability for my day but due to all the weddings being postponed they are booking up like crazy! Anyone else experiencing this? How are you handling the stress of planning a wedding during a pandemic with more people than usual getting married?

I was in an interesting position with hiring vendors because, how I am as a person is to be early an organized 😅 so, I was looking/hiring vendors when covid just started and my parents were kind of telling me to hold off because their reasoning was “what if they go out of business?” Which, is a very valid point. BUT I had done so much research on these vendors and knew they were reputable. I also didn’t want to run into the problem you just mentioned about vendors being all booked up. I’m happy I hired all my vendors when I did because covid stayed the same all year so, waiting wouldn’t have made much of a difference 😅

I feel the same way. We are anticipating a small wedding too. However, the way I think about it, I will keep it simple because of the pandemic and only invite immediate family and friends. I will use a hastags so the pictures can be used to make a video to show others. You can also livestream it, if needed.

    Congratulations

    Hey there!

Wedding date twin & Healthcare worker (admin) here. The COVID vaccine will be widely available long before our wedding day (experts project that by May, the vaccine will be widely available and easy to get) so I wouldn’t worry too much! But as always, plan for the worst and hope for the best! You got this Smiley smile

That seems to be the general consensus on things! So, I will remain hopeful in the meantime! Happy wedding planning to you!

Aw I got engaged on Valentine’s Day in 2020 before the lockdown too! I’m getting married March 19th this year & it’s not going anywhere! It definitely sucks having to deal with covid & some not coming, but I’m not gonna let it stop me for marrying my best friend! Nah life still goes on!😁
