November Brides - One month left!

A few hours ago, I realized that our wedding rehearsal is in exactly one month, and that we get married a month from tomorrow! I'm having anxiety about RSVPs ("deadline" is 10/5 and we're still waiting on about 1/3 of them ), the wedding party being on time, and people not having fun at our...
A few hours ago, I realized that our wedding rehearsal is in exactly one month, and that we get married a month from tomorrow! I'm having anxiety about RSVPs ("deadline" is 10/5 and we're still waiting on about 1/3 of them Smiley angry ), the wedding party being on time, and people not having fun at our wedding (idk how this is even possible - I had a good time even at the "worst" weddings I've attended!). I keep telling myself that it will ALL be fine! And no matter what, I'll be married to my best friend when the day is said and done. Smiley smile
In the past week, I've:
- Booked a limo for the wedding party
- Booked makeup (this was SO late in the game, but it ended up all working out)- Finalized the plan for wedding party gifts (a lot is on the the way!)
- Finalized our ceremony (we're having a full Catholic mass, so this took forever)- Bought another bracelet to wear with my dress
It still feels like there is so much to do -- programs, final meeting with the florist next week, setting up the day-of timeline with our photographer, scheduling a final meeting with our DJ, and our last two marriage preparation program sessions with the host couple from our parish. And a million other little details.
How are you all doing?

November 1st!! The to-do list is sooo LONG! I had to break it up into weekly lists. We'll see how this all goes lol. I know I have the main stuff covered: officiant (the whole reason we're there), food, open bar, DJ...everything else is extra (or at least that's what I'm telling myself so I don't stress out too much). If I complete it, great! If I don't...meh Smiley laugh

I feel you!! I'm definitely worried about if people will enjoy themselves. There will be a range of ages and backgrounds, so, if nothing else, this should be very interesting LOL. I'm definitely ready for it to be all over. I look forward to reclaiming my time Smiley xd

I fee the SAME way about worrying if my guests are going to have a good time. D: I'm hoping with all the drinking, I'm sure they can all feign excitement. I also thought I was the only one who had dress regret!!! Hopefully the meeting with the seamstress will help with that! That's what I'm hoping as well. Good luck!! Tell us how it goes!

Hi everyone! Ours is on the very last day of November so we still have a little bit of time but not much.. We have pretty much everything done except the small details like the photo arrangments for our wedding party, which guestbook to choose, and getting a few signs to make it own. We were pretty fortunate to find a venue that did almost everything for us! Now it's just getting those details underway and making sure it becomes a stress-free day!

Our wedding is Nov. 16 and I'm still stressing about so many details, including many of the items you all mentioned. One of my main concerns is song selections for DJ and how much alcohol to purchase (so it boils down to "will everyone have fun?!"). I might be buying way more alcohol than needed, but rather have too much than not enough and run out - that's a huge wedding fear of mine. It's so hard to know what everyone is going to be in the mood to drink on that day!

I was just assigned a new wedding coordinator, since my old one quit -_- so that's been annoying. And now a couple of my bridesmaids dresses came in and are too tight! I hate to say that I can't wait until it's all over, but ..I can't wait until it's all over!

I worry about my guests having a good time too. We’re having a dry wedding and if I have to read one more “proper hosting means an open bar/anything less than an open bar is tacky/take your pick of insults”, and I think I’m gonna start throwing things.

Just last weekend I dropped my dress off for alterations (apparently 2 sizes too big) waiting for fiance’s Suit to come in 1-2 weeks before the day, made rehearsal dinner reservations. got all RSVPs and need to make a seating chart. Meet with vendor coordinator to finalize details. Hand off music requests to DJ. Review all money owed and start paying off vendors. Making sure to take some time off before the big day to relax and do any last minute things if needed. Feeling great about where I’m at! Date is Nov 2nd.

People actually say that?! Some of the next weddings I've been to we're dry weddings. It's all about the poeple!

It’s been said, here. And I’m tired of it.
    Ahem. Anyway.
I nailed down the ceremony script today with my officiant. I’m a little concerned about the apparent lack of a contract, but she has over 100 reviews on thumbtack, all 5 ⭐️. So for now I’m letting it be, trying not to stress. I ordered a bunch of bibs today as we’re having ribs, chicken and pulled pork for dinner. Figured my guests wouldn’t want to get dirty. Is that weird? Also considering wet naps. The caterer brings some but probably not enough. Argh! Just another things to spend money on.

I'm legal on 11/22 in the states and then a destination wedding in Jamaica on 11/26. We have a small guest list and a couple just dropped out yesterday. One guest hasnt booked his flight but I'm sure he is coming. He is rooming with FH father and pushed him to come. However, his father basically left the state without saying goodbye when he was 11. They've been building a relationship when he became an adult. However his father is still flakey and tried to get out of coming but then said he is coming. We even offered to help financially but refused that. Until he books his flight and receives his passport renewal, I cant be sure. My FH would have been fine if he never agreed to come but then got his hopes up. If he flakes on his wedding (didnt go to his first), then it will destroy my FH and his relationship with his father. I sent him a nice email yesterday asking for his mailing address and telling him how much it means to is that he is coming...no response in a few days. Not a great sign. Hes retired and living in a remote town in Mexico so I'll give him some leeway. If he doesnt show up for his son, I might book a flight to Mexico after the wedding just to tell him off and maybe a pop in the nose. Hes actually a good guy but just doesnt get the importance of family. Doesnt even ask about his grandkids. The rest of the wedding planning is going ok. Just hard to work with all of the appts leading up. We dont have our playlist for the DJ yet because FH was supposed to put that together. Says he has it all together on his phone. :/ We take our first dance lesson tomorrow. Hope that isnt a disaster. Yay- we are all getting married next month!!

November 16th for me!! So 7 weeks left and I just decided Friday to buy a different dress 🤣 which has left me rethinking and purchasing a few new accessories this week because of the change. Surprisingly I am less stress now that I’ve made the change! Even though the dress will arrive less than two weeks before the big day!

Hey! We’re date twins! Not sure if you know this, but if you buy alcohol from sams or Costco, any unopened bottle can be returned! This is helping us buy enough when we have no idea how much to actually buy. As you mentioned, we much rather be overstocked than under.

I’m 1 month away too my wedding is November 2nd I have also been having problems with getting my RSVP’s I’m not sure if ppl are waiting last minute or if they are getting lost in the mail. Our deadline is also October 5th and we have only gotten about half back. We are calling ppl like crazy and come to find out some said they sent them back weeks ago and we never received them in the mail! It’s been such a headache 🤕 I did the minted all-in-ones where the RSVP is a tear off post card so I’m unsure if that would cause all this madness. Ahhh it’s stressing me and most of all my FH since he’s super organized it’s driving him nuts I’ve had to reassure him that we will get them and if worse comes to worse we will just have to call to confirm with everyone mind you we have 200 ish guests that are invited 🙄 that’s going to be a lot of phone calls!!

We are starting our ceremony at 2 pm! We're having a Catholic wedding, so we only had a couple choices. Smiley xd

My wedding to-do list feels like it is 10 miles long!

Same here... I hate the RSVP waiting game! FH has a huge family -- aunts, uncles, cousins, kids, plus-ones (for cousins) would total 87 if they all came. Less than half of his family has even replied. Smiley angry I think they make up about half of our outstanding invites! FMIL & FFIL will be making a lot of phone calls for us next week. Smiley xd

From my past experience as a guest, I would rather have a dry wedding than a cash bar. Smiley smile If I had traveled in (or even not!) I would rather have no alcohol than pay to drink.

I totally feel you!! We are getting married November 2nd and our RSVP's were due by Oct 1st. I haven't actually checked yet because work has been so crazy, but I think we are only missing a few at this point. I'm beyond stress just hoping everything comes together. My dress FINALLY came in yesterday and I'm stressing because I haven't seen it since April when I bought it and I bought it in a custom color that I've never seen in real life. I'm also stressing trying to get everything paid for. My mom and family are helping a lot financially but gosh do the little things add up. I'm super excited but also ready for this to be over lol!

Hey date twin! I totally get what you mean of hoping everything comes together as you planned. That must be very stressful getting your dress so close to the wedding hopefully it comes out just as you ordered. And yes the little things do add up and quickly! It will all be worth it for the big day.
