November Christmas wedding?

Katie, on April 18, 2018 at 10:08 PM Posted in Planning 0 6

We are really aching to have a Christmas-y wedding, bonus if the venue already dresses up for xmas! Our dream venue is not available late November (our ideal time due to my teaching breaks) or even December (except Dec 23rd but its just too close for us), but they do have 11/10 available. Personally it isnt too early for Christmas at that time, but we dont want it to feel too weird to have Christmas decorations up..though it would be more like greenery, pinecones, twinkle lights, maybe some baubles and trees. We are willing to look elsewhere (and have been and are exhausted!!) but I feel like our search keeps coming back to this venue but with the lack of dates we don't know if we should just let this one go, or somehow make it work! Any advice?

You can do "subtle Christmas". Trees; white, green and gold (or silver or copper);pinecones; evergreens; mini lights;cotton bolls, etc without a tradiitonal Christmas ornament or decoration in sight.

I completely agree with PP I’m doing a Christmas wedding on December 14th, but it will still be subtle Christmas. I think you’ll be perfectly fine. Go with your dream location.

Northern California, Sonoma/ Marin county! We like something somewhat unique and kind of historical but needs to have an inside space in case the weather is bad (which it prob will be at least cold).

If you want the Christmas decor, then do it and embrace it. Make the day fit your your likes and personalities. Some people are over fall as soon as Halloween is over and others don't mind either way. I can't imagine that it would anyone, especially if the venue is already decorated anyway.
