November Wedding

Heather, on March 18, 2020 at 5:27 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 13
Hey guys! My wedding is Nov 2020 and my FH and I are considering postponing the wedding. Anyone else in the same boat? We aren’t sure if COVID-19 is still going to be this prominent by then but we aren’t sure we want to take any chances. Let me hear what you have to say and your opinions on this?

I think you should be okay. Based on the recoveries of other countries, I honestly think this will be all over (at the latest) in June or July. I haven't cancelled my May wedding yet, we're playing it by ear. If you think you guys will be really stressed about it, though, I would say do whatever is best for your mental health. If changing the date to next year will ease your minds, it's definitely something to consider.

I would hope by November things would be a lot more under control and more resources available to treat people faster based on what is being shown in other places where it started back in December/ January. So November should be okay. I just postponed my May wedding to end of September to be safe because that’s a good six months.

I think you'll be fine. You have a long way to go. Things should better by that time. If things are still like this until then we may not have any venues or vendors still in business. My wedding was supposed to be next month and we had to postpone it to the end of July. I'm praying that all is well by mid May

I'm also contemplating changing my Fall 2020 wedding to next year. Just here to say I can relate....

My wedding is in October, and I'm not canceling or postponing. I'm just going to wait and see what happens.

I have an August wedding that I’m not wanting to move. I’m hoping this be over soon. You should be ok with your wedding. If you feel more comfortable about moving it then I would say move it. Just make sure that the vendors and the venue is still available then.

I doubt your vendors will postpone a November wedding.

I wouldn’t make any changes for a wedding that far out. I would wait and see how things play out over the next few months.

I sure hope it’s gone by November. We just had to postpone our May wedding to August. So it better by gone by August 😅 or else.. third times the charm?

I was freaking out about my October wedding, but FH pointed out that if the pandemic is still not under control by then, we'll have much bigger problems anyway. We'd be using dollars as toilet paper because it's cheaper that way. So...

I do think it's too early to postpone November. I would talk to your vendors candidly about how flexible they're willing to be before you make any more payments

    Hey everyone,

Just posting here because my wife and I had moved our wedding venue date to November 28th, but had kept our ceremony for June 6th. We decided that the small get together we had after our ceremony was enough for us AND SO, we have a wedding venue for sale LOL if any of you would be interested in a wedding venue at the Quiet Cannon Event Center in Montebello, CA let us know! We are selling the venue at a pretty good discount Smiley smile
It Includes dinner for 120 guests, unlimited soft drinks, and an hour of open bar for free!
