NUDE wedding?!

Erica, on March 18, 2014 at 8:29 PM Posted in Planning 0 52

Has anyone ever thought of getting married.. in the nude?? For those comfortable enough with their bodies, I think it's a beautiful way to exchange vows!

With this vagina I thee wed. What a great way to make your guests feel awkward. Also, I really don't want to see any naked bodies especially if they are wrinkled, flabby, or just nasty.

My photographer suggested it. Unfortunately we had already invited 100 people so the answer was no.

@Rebekah bahaha! Yeah I'm sure this has been done somewhere in a nudist colony. But not exactly mainstream.

    I have actually attended a nude wedding...LOL!

My and the FH used to vacay at Hedo and one time we were there for a nude wedding. It was kind of cool. I wouldn't do it, but I don't knock anyone else's freak, but I don't think it is something I would want for myself.

Errrr no. I don't think that is a wedding I would want to attend either. I have no interest in running around naked nor seeing anyone else naked.

I've heard of them. but i would never attend one (and thus obviously would not have one). i believe that my body should be for my FH's eyes, and his for mine

I can tell you that if I had to be nude it would be the shortest ceremony ever.

I have seen it on TV, I think its just a ridiculous idea to be honest. I don't see a point.

Would be okay with it if there were no guests and no photographers. I don't know if those would be the types of photos you want hanging up in your house or sharing with friends/family who are not also nudists. That being said I thought one of the purposes of a wedding was to get good photos/video that you can share with family, friends and your current/future kids.

This isn't something I would personally do, because I am not comfortable enough with my body to do so, and I would not like to make other people uncomfortable. But I don't see anything wrong with it. If someone is more comfortable/happier in the nude, then why shouldn't they be able to get married in a way that they are most comfortable?

If I were asked to attend a nude wedding, I would probably decline, unless it were more along the "clothing optional" lines, where I would take the option of clothing. Again, not comfortable enough with my own nudity.

I would, however, disagree with the idea that the point of a wedding is to get pictures and video. I think the purpose of a wedding (or at least the party surrounding the wedding) is to commit yourself to your partner with the support and joy of the people you choose to invite. Pictures/videos are a bonus, and not essential to the wedding or the party.

For favors you could give your guests towels.
