NUDE wedding?!

Has anyone ever thought of getting married.. in the nude?? For those comfortable enough with their bodies, I think it's a beautiful way to exchange vows!

Nope, not even if I was passed blitzed. Wouldn't attend and wouldn't have one.

Just so many things are wrong about this idea.

So when I clicked on this...I thought you were talking about a nude color...hmm. silly me.

Erm NO! I would NOT have, nor attend a nude wedding...I got bits and bobs that I don't even like FH looking at. HAHA!

I'm not comfortable with my own body, but if I were invited to a nude wedding, I'd attend...providing I had the option to at least wear a bikini, lol.

If it was a private ceremony in one of those places where you can marry yourselves (with no one else there)... it would be ok, but otherwise... a HUGE no from me! Although FH seems to like my body, I am fat (let's not lie... that's what I am lol... not to put myself down... just the truth) and I don't think others need to see that! Also, family will be there. I'm sorry but they don't need to see my lady bits, nor do I need to see their parts. I can't see how any of that is appropriate. You couldn't have children attend, and there is no way that I'd be displaying any pictures, nor would I want anyone to take pictures and display them in their homes or worse... facebook!

Plus... FH's manly parts are for my eyes only... Smiley winking

NO THANK YOU. My question is- if it is a nude wedding, do the guests have to be nude? And how exactly is this worded on the invitation? I'd like to send out "nude wedding" invitations just to see people's reactions...especially grandparents...

I would never ever have one and I would decline if I was invited to one. I have no issues with my body, but I don't need family (like my dad...EW) seeing me naked and vice versa.

Plus, there's a lot of overweight people out there, and I don't want to see that either.

I haven't been to one, but I really wish I would get invited to one! I think it's gutsy and a bold choice. There's some good info here http://weddings.gatheringguide.com/ac/wedding-dresses-fashion/the-naked-truth-about-nude-weddings which is where I first heard of them. I had to research a bit to make sure it was real. But apparently people do them, and they're very intimate (obviously!) and they bring everyone together in a real, vulnerable, honest way. Of course you'd have to invite ONLY people you'd know would take it seriously and not be weirded out.

    Not for me thanks.

Friends of my family got married in the Dominican Republic and during their ceremony they had people walking nude along the beach. Does that count?

I would never have the ceremony nude.

But, we did consider taking nude pictures at the beach, just my husband & I, just for us.

Check out St. Martin, the island is half French and half Dutch- i hear the French side is pretty much a big nudist camp.

I think it would be a great idea if I lived in a nudist community but otherwise I think it would be a bit awkward.
