NUDE wedding?!

Has anyone ever thought of getting married.. in the nude?? For those comfortable enough with their bodies, I think it's a beautiful way to exchange vows!

I think if you do it you have to have a separate clothed party too for everyone who doesn't want to do the actual wedding.

If this is a troll, it's one of the more entertaining ones.

I would have to wear a full-length body stocking or an epic amount of Spanx to corral the wobbly bits. I don't even wear bikinis, there's no way I'd be at a wedding in the altogether!

I think that this would make a lot of guests uncomfortable and they wouldn't want to attend. I'm sure this would pose as a problem for your new family, and possibly your current family. also, pictures wouldn't really be able to be shared. I think that is just too intimate of a way to get married. save the naked time for you and your FH the night of and on the honeymoon. not in front of the family. plus if your FH got a boner that'd be SUPER AWKWARD. no... just no... lol

I don't think it's a troll. Nude weddings can be really beautiful and intimate. They're just not a good idea for everyone (as you can see, if you're not used to the idea, it's pretty shocking). But they do happen, especially among couples who are active in naturalist communities, and I've always had a soft spot in my heart for couples who choose to get married this way. It's just hard to involve relatives and friends who aren't used to the idea. Two receptions is the best idea.

I'm with Eliza. nude weddings are nothing new, and I'm actually surprised that so many have never heard of them before.

    We seriously considered it.

NO-- NO WE DID NOT! LOL. But not judging if you want to do it. @Riki said it best - don't knock someone else's freak!

We would send a gift. In perhaps a lovely shade of...nude.

If I had suggested that my FH probably would have picked eloping over a wedding, maybe its not to late to throw that out there lol... I truly would never consider doing it with or without "guests" cause there still has to be more than just him & I there

This reminds me of that show naked and afraid which brings me to this question:

Does that include no shoes as well?? In a public place, I'd absolutely have to wear shoes, now shoes is gross to me. If it was like outside or something, what if you accidentally step on something??

Interesting question, Jacque. I guess it's different for each couple, but I could see shoes being an exception for exactly that reason. Or maybe wearing shoes to the ceremony site and taking them off just for the ceremony (when you get to a clean, flat meadow or something). I guess the logistics depend on each location.

Aronna: Yes, like the Garden of Eden! Exactly, I think there is an innocence and beauty about it (if you invite people who take it seriously and aren't uncomfortable).

I am currently planning to renew my vows with just a veil in Mexico! Yay nude enthusiasts!
