Did anyone use numerology to help determine your wedding date? Or if you knew your number was not so good, how was your wedding day?

No. I knew I wanted a destination wedding so I chose the shoulder season for Florida because 90% of my guests have to fly in so it is cheaper for them. From there I avoided Mother's Day and Memorial Day weekend. The third Saturday won over the first because the price of flowers tend to go up around the first in anticipation of Mother's Day.

I didn't but your post had me curious so I looked it up (I already knew 13 wasn't a favorited number by most). Numerology has two strikes against us if I read the calculator correctly (for day and year)

Our day was absolutely perfect! Even though it rained and I was concerned we pictures wouldn't be able to do outside pictures, we were able to and they are great! (Our photographer is also amazing)

I originally used a number method to pick out my original wedding date of 10/15/16. After being thrown several lemons we ended up having to move it and we then just chose a holiday weekend that was on my favorite number.

You don't choose your date, your venue does.

For example, I wanted to get married in May. It's nicer where I live and there's less chances of rain. But it was cheaper to get married in April, by almost $10 a person. So we changed to April.

You go by your venue's availability.

We sure didn't, but I'm curious too. I looked at a calculator online And it looks like we have a good date. Interesting topic!

The day we started going out was on 05/12, originally we had planned on getting married on the same day but that day falls on Mother's Day every so often and we didn't want that. After that I was left to researching pop culture dates and special numbers but couldn't find anything.

Being that we still wanted to get married in May I added 5 and 18 ( Year ) and subtracted that number from 42 ( Which is the answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything ) and ended up with 19. I'm a big nerd. I LOVE The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.

    So 05/19/2018 it is.

I didn't either. We wanted to cruise for our honeymoon so we picked several dates corresponding to a cruise we wanted to take and looked for availability according to those dates

I've had couples get married on the anniversary of their first date. This sometimes means a weekday ceremony and a small crowd as a result.

This year one of my couples chose 07/07/17 as their wedding date partially because of the lucky 7s. Best wishes!

I always wanted a fall wedding, ideally September or October. My venue had no September dates left, and only two October Saturdays left for fall of 2017 when we were looking (June 2016). I was pretty much set on 10/21 or 10/28.... until the wedding coordinator sent me the November-April package prices "just in case". It was $25 per person cheaper to choose a date 1-2 weeks later.

So for 11/4 instead of 10/21 or 10/28, we saved $25 per person, plus half off the rental fee. The November date also allows for a lower minimum guest count (150 lowers to 125).

The savings at the venue alone is almost $4k. Then, I saved even more with other vendors who gave an off-season discount.

Your venue, budget, and guest list control your date for the most part.

I guess I'm an exception to the "your venue controls your date". We found one venue we loved but they didn't have our date (or month) available. We kept looking. We toured another venue that had our date available (we were looking 15 months in advance) and booked it. I'm glad it happened that way because I love this venue much more. Both of these venues were the same price no matter which month, the only variance in price is day of the week but we knew we wanted a Saturday wedding.

We wanted early spring where It wasn't too hot (Florida here) and 33 is our lucky number on roulette and 3/3 happened to fall on a Saturday. so it all worked out.

No, I looked at what was available for both of us and our venue and went from there. Cool idea, though not that practical

Sort of! We told the venue when we'd like to get married, they gave us the list of available dates, and FMIL (who was with us) said "OMG, the 1 and 8 add up to 9.. that's our family's lucky number!" I couldn't say no to that, you never know haha.

Aside from that, we definitely did not use numerology; however, I did look it up afterwards out of curiosity.

I didn't know anything about this, but went to do our numbers a moment for shits and giggles.

We both have life numbers of 3, which give us a marriage number of 6, and or wedding date as up to be a 6. Interesting and completely coincidental.

I chose my date based on my venue's availability. Of course, FH and I had a rough idea of when - August or September. After we talked to the venue (and discovered they hadn't booked anything in either months) we picked the 18th, because there weren't any big events going on around that time.
