NWR: 21 Day Fix and Shakeology

FutureMrsComo, on March 18, 2017 at 5:40 PM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 25

I'm wanting to try the 21 day fix and I've seen a few posts in the past where lots of you tried it and loved it. I just have a few questions. Did you buy the full plan w/workouts etc or just the containers off amazon? Were there enough containers for your entire day's worth of food or just like one of each? Is shakeology part of the meal plan or is it just suggested? (It comes with a shakeology shaker..) And if shakeology is a part of the meal plan did any of you use an alternative? (Shakeology is pricey for me)

Any of you not like 21 fix? FH and I have been eating like sh*t lately and he's on board with us both trying to push ourselves to eat healthier and make better choices. I've heard good things about this plan but would be open to hear if anything else worked well for you.

I personally think this stuff is a rip off. You can buy protein and greens shake mixes, even at target. You just have to focus on eating less, moving more, and portion control.

As a previous beachbody coach, I LOVE beachbody programs (insanity, 21 df, and t25) but agreed, shakeology is a waste of your money. Regardless it's a good product, but as PP said, I now drink proteins and greens from target at a fifth of the price with the same ingredients.

But to answer your Q about 21 dayfix, if you are just starting out with a workout plan this is a great place to start. The meal plan is great to follow so I recommend it to help with your diet. I still follow the diet regulations on my daily lifestyle. But being a little more active now I prefer the T25 workouts. I really want to try Max30!

Thanks ladies! That shakeology price threw me off a little so I figured there had to be a cheaper alternative!

Im on day 8 of 21dayfix. Im sore all over but its a good thing. Im not going to step on the scale until my last day. The containers have really helped me realize portion size. I use my own shakes bc shakeology is too expensive

I loved the 21 day fix! I am planning on doing another round soon! I just bought the containers off of amazon because I already workout daily. I have plenty of motivation to workout, but my eating habits were horrible. I did not do shakeology because it was way too expensive.

21 day fix is a great program. I agree shakeology isn't worth it though. I drink GNC Lean Shakes when I need a protein boost or a quick meal. The pre-made ones are only like $2 each if you buy a case.

I enjoyed 21 day Fix as a program. It teaches you about portion control and you see results. However, as others have said, shakeology is pricey and you can find cheaper

I lost 50 lbs doing the 21 Day Fix for 9 months. I bought the containers and dvds from Beachbody so my coach would get credit. She is awesome and has amazing challenge groups online. I didn't do Shakeology at all. You only get one container of each color (except 2 oranges) so I would meal prep and put into other tupperware for the week. It's 80% about what and how much you eat.

I like 21df. It was a good starting place. The shakeology is a sticker shock and I never bought it. I used vega one instead. The containers I used for measuring more than anything because you only get one of each. I think it was worth the money to buy the containers and workouts!

I love 21df. I had lost 25 lbs in 2 rounds (so 42 days). The workouts kick your butt at first, depending on your activity level, but they're good. And the containers help with portion control. They also include lists of foods for each container, with the best at the top of the list and so on. After a while I didn't really need the containers I could just eye how much it was and know it was right. The shakeology is optional, they suggest it as a replacement for one meal. I used the GNC Lean Shake instead, mostly on days when I worked early and didn't have time for a proper breakfast.

I liked it and I'm going to start again soon because my diet habits have been completely derailed recently. Like, obviously I know I should eat healthy foods and whatnot, but sometimes a program to follow is the kick in the pants that's needed.

You can find out the portion sizes online and just do it yourself as far as meal planning goes. I liked the DVDs. Shakeology, however, tasted HORRIBLE. I tried close to six different ways and it always was just terrible

Vega proteins and greens essentials shake the chocolate flavor. I prefer it because not only is it protein but the vitamins and omegas your body needs is provided (just like with shakeo). Drinking JUST a protein shake isn't enough. It's only like $30.

I love 21df! We just do the workouts at work. I'm not good about following the meal plan, and we don't do Shakeology. it's too expensive.

Funny story. I think it's the upper body video... At the end, while you're stretching, Autumn says to drink your Shakeology and they zoom in on a pic of one of the girls boobs because she's wearing a Shakeology shirt. Cracks me up every time!

I'm starting 21 Day Fix when my package comes in. I'm doing ShakeO because the price really isn't bad if you break it down to how much you're spending per day. I will be cutting out fast food / eating out and putting that money towards my ShakeO which actually breaks down to be cheaper than what I was spending by going out for meals.

I'm re-starting the 21 Day Fix, but I have the Extreme version. I haven't tried the regular version, so I don't know how they compare. I really like it, especially if you're just starting out. Or if you've been a slacker and not worked out for months (like me). I also used the containers for portion control initially. By now, I'm pretty good at knowing how large the portions should be, so I don't use them as often. I do use Shakeology every once in a while, but not daily. It's way too expensive. But I may try out some of the suggestions listed here.

I honestly didn't know what 21 day fix was, so I looked it up and it looks cool! At less than 11 bucks on Amazon, it's' worth a shot!

Portion control is a real challenge for most of us.....(like the concept that a pint of ice cream is four servings...ha ha ha ha ha)

But exercise is definitely a key.

Honestly, just look at your calories and eat the correct portions. Actually measure it out in a measuring cup. No need to spend the money on containers!

I'm actually looking into that too. Shakeology is a little pricy for me so I'm getting the containers from amazon, and buying a similar shake (did some research on it). Also downloaded the 21 day fix app on my phone.
