NWR: Best work out clothes?

Sisi, on March 11, 2015 at 10:57 PM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 37

I've had the hardest time finding an activewear brand that I like that doesn't cost over $100 for pants (ahem lululemon). My biggest issue tends to be finding a sports bra with good support (I'm a 34B, most bras for that size are thin and flimsy, I like my girls held in tight) and pants that fit in the waist yet arent stretched across my butt and thighs. Aside from Lululemon I have tried Danskin, Jockey, Champion, Victoria's Secret, as well as non-name brands I've found at Macy's, JCP, Target and etc.

Anyone have any suggestions or favorite brands they'd like to share? I'm tired of walking out of stores empty handed

Nike! Their dri-fit line is my favorite as far as workout clothes and Free for shoes! And as far as sports bras go I'm a 36C and I'm in love with my dri-fit sports bra!

I was just going to say fabletics, but Elyse beat me to it! I have the monthly subscription and usually get myself a 2 piece outfit for $50... And if I am feeling needy I will pick up a $10 vip deal along with it. I have loved everything I have purchased so far.

Under Armour--love them! I'm a 34DD and I have the best sports bra and workout pants! Also Nike has great workout pants but I don't find any Nike sports bra that support my chest.

Totally agree with @Breanna. Also, try Adidas. I have sports bras by both and highly recommend them to others.

Hmmm Iv'e heard of Fabletics but was under the impression that it's like the Birchbox of workout clothes where you pay a monthly subscription and then you get an outfit every month? Can you just shop for whatever without subscribing?

I'll definitely look into some of those other brands as well! Thanks ladies!

Under armor is my fav for pants and shirts. I always buy my stuff from the outlets. Their bras aren't supportive enough for me though...I have a Juno sports bra that I love

I found some awesome pants at target a month ago. I don't know the brand but I love them but a bunch of pants.

Try roadrunnersports.com. They have a "store brand", and their stuff is some of my favorite--reasonably priced, too. I really love their capris for running and other workouts, and the bras are pretty good, too (I'm the same size as you). (They also carry all the other major brands.)

I love the active wear from Old Navy. They are reasonably priced especially when you get a good sale. I really like (not love) their sports bras. I am a busty girl (36DDD) and they hold me in pretty well.

I typically wear Under Armour, check out their sale stuff. For sportsbra, UA has very supportive ones and I use Victoria Secret. Both brands have medium support and maximum support, I go maximum and VS work best for me.

I love Fabletics and honestly Walmart has some decent activewear. I got pants, 2 sports bras, and a top for $24 the other day.

I am a member of Fabletics as well! Yes, it is a monthly subscription but the good thing about it is you can "skip" a month and it won't charge you! You have 5 days at the beginning of the month to skip. They have the BEST deals and their clothes are great for yoga/pilates and I love their workout capris. I also loooooove Athleta but it's pretty pricey.

Strangely enough... Old Navy has some great workout pants that fit well in the waist and legs and don't become see-through in the butt and thigh areas Smiley smile Inexpensive, too!

Lucy! They've got amazing tops and zip-ups. I actually am a HUGE consignment shopper, so I score great deals on lululemon, lucy, etc.

I used to be like "no way am I buying some else's workout clothes", but I bring them home and wash them right away. If they're in great condition and a fraction of the retail price, why not?!

I second Christina. I like Old Navy's workout stuff. I have sports bras from there that are awesome (I'm a 34B too) and I've got some tanks and pants from there too.

My fave thing to wear working out is fun printed leggings though. I get mine from JK Apparel and they're only $25 a pair (or 3 for $60).

I recommend Old Navy yoga pants, and Nike sports bras. I get my tanks from a variety of places, such as WalMart, Old Navy, and reputable nutrition brands I like. I work out primarily weight lifting, and my ON yogas never become see through when I do squats or lunges. Plus, you can typically find sales at ON pretty frequently! Smiley smile

Following! I'm a weird size, small rib cage but busty (32DDD) and have a hard time finding sports bras that actually feel like I'm wearing something. Tired of coming home from the gym feeling as if I've gone bra-less, ew!!
