NWR: Ex got married.. does it make you feel *weird*?

I know the weird feeling all to well. My XH has been doing what seems like the one up game since FH and I announced our engagement.

He introduced our kids to a woman he had known less then 24 hours. That just happened to be the the day we announced our engagement. FH and I bought a new house together in October. Now XH is buying one with his gf he's had 4 months.

Its non stop things like this...rather annoying!

I think we actually broke up around 4 years ago... haven't had a conversation with him in about half that time. He dated a couple of random people for short amounts of time. Apparently it didn't take long after he found this one. You know, he was always kind of impulsive. Eh, it's whatev. I'm over it. Our wedding will be better than theirs anyway

My ex "first love" cheated on me and popped the question to the girl he cheated on me with 3 months after us breaking up 5 years ago with the 'promise' ring he had given me. They married year before last. Haven't spoken since but the wife has messages me on fb a few times over the years about him being abusive. I wish them the best of luck. FH saved me from that relationship years ago when we were friends. I am a true believer that everything happens for a reason!

Ok glad Im not the only one. I had the same thing as you.. dated for years, one I thought id marry & he tried to get back with me right before I met my FH, who is ten times better in so many ways. I do find it weird, I just dont picture him getting married and actually being a good guy. Only other thing is his family was very wealthy & it was definitely a perk.. so I kinda miss that lifestyle but I dont miss the emotional abuse. I feel bad for the girl because he was literally trying to get back with me not too long ago... so weird
