NWR: got fired today and need cheering up!

See it as an opportunity to find the job you really want and focus on what you want for your future. I got fired from my job years ago and I looked at it as an opportunity. I went back to school and now I am a special education teacher. I feel like it was meant to happen for me to finally follow my dream.

Thank you all SO, so much for all the well wishes and support, and especially the cute pet pictures! I wish I could give all of your furry friends a snuggle.

It's really started to sink in today that I won't be going back to that particular place of employment and I'm all over the place with my emotions. One of my (now former) coworkers is staying at my house for the week and he gave me and FH the most incredible pep talk last night, and encouraged me to see this as an opportunity to better myself and find out what it is that I really want to do.

My wedding is in seven days, and we're leaving for our honeymoon on the 30th of this month. I'm just going to sit back and relax until we come back from our honeymoon, and then I'll put myself back out on the job market. Hopefully in the mean time I'll receive a vision or idea of what it is I should be doing with my life.

Sorry to hear about your job. I hope you can focus on your wedding and honeymoon and enjoy them. Good luck finding something when you're ready.

My FH just lost his job too, and we're also looking at it as an opportunity to move on to better things.
