NWR: Lipsense..bad batch?

Can't speak to limpness---Im SUPER weary of any direct sales products like that.. But for wedding day I wore Chanel ultimate wear lip stain and LOVED it! Im not a big lip color person and I've worn it several times in the last few weeks since the wedding.

I also bought lipsense and hate it. It is blotchy, it stings and wears off in the middle of my lips almost immediately. I think it makes my lips look thin and dry. The gloss is too shiny. I have the Matte Liquid Lipcolor by bare minerals that lasts better and I prefer...although I'm not perfectly satisfied

@ Susan I wish I went to a party and tried it before purchasing it, the color is definitely darker than I anticipated as well.

Cover Girl outlast lip stain also works really well! Lasts all day and then some!

I would just get any liquid lipstick honestly. Bare minerals has a good one, as mentioned previously. There are tons out there!

Lipsense takes some getting used to but I absolutely LOVE IT. The darker colors can come out splotchy so you can always add additional coats to it or mix with another color. The ones I have aren't as dark as the one you have. You should be able to return it and get some money back. Maybe get a lighter color? Make sure your lips are clean from anything and are dry when you apply. It tingles in the beginning because, in you're like me, I use chapstick 100x a day so the lipsense takes off that wax and heals your lips with continued use. Don't just stick with a $55 purchase tho. Return it!

I like the Sephora lip stain it's got good sticking power and it's only $14. I'd suggest going into a place like Sephora or Ulta and asking what they recommend it's always worked out well for me, I'm pretty makeup illiterate and I've yet to be steered wrong by the consultants at either place

I love Lipsense. It gets better over time with wearing it.

I use benefit lip stains, depending on the shade you want I'd recommend it, they only have 3 shades that I know of though. I apply and let dry and reapply a few times in a row to get a darker shade. It lasts a while and it just feels like nothing which is great. I really hate matte, you have to have lips as smooth as a pearl to get the coat looking even, in any brand I've tried. Victorias secret brands I do like the best though

I didnt like lipsense either for the same reasons , color either to light and when I didn't reapply gloss lips looked a mess.

I spent the same amount of money just to get disappointed w lipsense as well..
