NWR: My dog ate my CPAP!

2d Bride, on December 7, 2010 at 2:02 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 13

Well, ok, it wasn't the whole CPAP, but still...

You may recall that I recently got a CPAP machine, since my sleep apnea was severe enough that I was needing 12-14 hours of sleep every night. This morning, I got out of bed for a while, but then realized I still needed more sleep. I went to sleep in the guest room, so that I would not wake NotFroofy.

After NotFroofy got up, I found the headgear on our bed, but no longer connected to the CPAP. I thought maybe a tube had gotten disconnected, so I looked around on the bed, and found a distinctly chewed bit of tubing that used to connect the mask to the rest of the CPAP. And I looked more closely at the mask, and realized that had been chewed, too.

The good news is, the company will replace it for free. The bad news is, it is out of stock, so it will take a few days. Arrrrgh!

Well, we're speculating that the one time the CPAP machine was turned off and I was not there, she thought she could kill the monster that was trying to eat my face every night.

Sounds like something my dogs would do. They like board games, table and chair legs, cabinets, moulding....

Lol, I read CRAP too! I am sorry to hear about your CPAP machine though. I am glad that it can be replaced for free and that your dog didn't eat your crap.

I was trying to figure out why your crap was somewhere that the dog could get to it but not at all surprised that you were sharing with us that the dog ate it! After all, we are all friends here and we share everything!

    ROTFLMAO!

The weird thing is, she never chews on anything of ours. The only exception was one time when I left some Pup-Peronis in a pocket of some pants, and she ate through the pocket to get at them. I sort of figured she had provocation then, since her Pup-Peronis were in my pocket. But we can leave our food around where she could reach it, and she never does. So even though NotFroofy had previously seen her sniffing at the CPAP, I never thought she would chew it.

Here she is, saying, "Look at this innocent face! I couldn't possibly have done it!" However, since the only other one present was NotFroofy, and I'm pretty sure she doesn't chew on my CPAP, I'm not buying it.
