NWR- should I use my Lenox china as everyday dinnerware?

Wow it is very pretty! If you use it everyday you may run the risk of dropping and/or ruining them somehow. But I don't think it is bananas, I have my grandmoms china stashed away and I don't plan on using it for a few years, we live in a tiny apartment, but it is also very fancy. I say use it just be careful :-)

Wow those are gorgeous. I would do what makes you happy and smiles. So many times we get things to save to use. Life is short I say use it!!!

I use my china as everyday dinner ware. It's pretty, I've only broken one bowl in three years, and for some reason it comes clean more easily than our cheap dishes (nothing seems to stain it, and it's mostly white. I love it.).

I also recently inherited a gorgeous formal coffee set from my grandmother, and it is definitely not being put away for special occasions. Life is special.

Use it every day. Life is too short to save the good stuff for Thanksgiving...

I made a ham-sammi yesterday for lunch and fully used my salad plate with the little birds on it- it made me feel fancy and special and brought a smile to my face. I can not hide them away, they are so fun and pretty. @Ryan S- LIFE is special!! Till we get some sort of china cabinet to properly display everything- our small cabinents will have to do and I can't stand the idea of not using them... what's the point?!

Use away, if it breaks, that only a reminder that its a material item.

When we moved in together, my DH had a bunch of dishes and glasses that he bought because he liked them, but never used them. He also had a HUGE collection of really nice pots and pans and I swear, I use maybe three of them out of like 10. I told him that I thought it was stupid and we use his fancy dishware now all the time. What's the point of having something if it's just going to sit in a cabinet?

I say USE IT!! I use my china every day and I love how it looks.
