NWR: What age did you start noticing grey hair or wrinkles?

I am 31 years old and this was the first year I got my two grey hairs. One a few months ago and one when I was at my hair dresser. I felt really weird about it, but she said that she has some women who come in who are my age who are completely grey! Yet you would never know it since they color their hair. I don't have any wrinkles yet, my mom is 51 and does not have very many.

When did you see your first wrinkles, your first grey hair?

First grey hair at 44. BUT my hair is light blonde so maybe I just ever noticed. I still don't dye my hair. All of my friends have been dying since they were late 20's early 30s. Always wanted black hair but am happy with the blonde now and save a ton on the hair dresser. Wrinkles? I have a few but wear glasses so not many. I'm fortunate in that respect. Everyone ages differently - don't worry about it!

I just have to add to this that despite noticing some wrinkles starting I went to an event last night that was age 19 and got hit for ID at the door. So it made me feel better about my skin.

I'm 29. (Edited to add this)

For a positive turn here -- I'm 23, I started getting grey hairs about a year ago, and I LOVE THEM. The rest of my hair is really dark and I think it's a really pretty contrast. I won't mind at all if I keep getting more.

I noticed my first one at 17. Blech. However, 11 years later I only have a few. Maybe 10 max. I have super thick and super dark hair. Almost all of mine hide in the underneath layers of my hair and I don't really notice them. Though recently more have been cropping up.

Wrinkles, none! Legal age here is 18 and I without fail get ID'd everywhere we go. I'm finally "old" enough to appreciate my baby faced looks but I wasn't too happy recently when a teenager asked me if my parents were home when I answered the door. But, I can't complain - I'm hoping I avoid the wrinkles for a while longer.

Gray hair started for me at 24 now at 29 I have almost half my head covered in grays. My parents didn't start getting them until their late 40s so idk why I got them so early. Mine aren't just gray though...BRIGHT WHITE! Smiley sad

I'm 25 and have several grays, but I lead a very hectic, high stress lifestyle.

Luckily no wrinkles, hopefully I have my maternal grandmothers skin genes because at 68 that woman has no wrinkles! Neither does my mother who is 45.

    I practice resting bitch face.

I turned 41 last week and thankfully no gray hair or wrinkles yet. My dad's hair turned a beautiful silver as he got older. I would love for mine to look like that someday. Smiley smile

First gray hair was at 28. It was a false alarm. I was offended when older people laughed at me for mentioning it. I pulled it out and never saw another one until I was in my 40's. I know I'm lucky. I've got excellent DNA. My skin was flawless during my teens, 20's, 30's, and 40's. I hit 54 last week, and in broad daylight, as a passenger in a car, I flipped down the visor to apply make-up (running late -- do the make-up in the car thing). I saw new lines -- one tiny line at each side of my mouth and very slight lines at the outer corners of my eyes. I'll start using more moisturizer, but my skin is in excellent shape (I'm very fair, very light skin and very light eyes, and I've avoided the sun since age 20). The hair? Hmm...different story. It's naturally dark, but I probably should start coloring it. There is some gray at the temples and some strands throughout the rest of my hair that are decidely silver. I'm fine....hair dye is much cheaper than Botox, and I'm nowhere near that stage. Guard yourselves from the sun, ladies -- regardless of your natural pigmentation.

I'm 31 and haven't seen any grey hairs yet. FH had his first grey hair this year. He's 25. He made me cut it really close to the root because his mom told him that if you pull a grey hair it spreads. Old wives tales.

As for wrinkles, I have noticed some fine lines on my forehead, probably because I furrow my brow alot. Stress I guess.

Centerpiece, I attribute my good skin and lack of wrinkles to avoiding the sun, too. I don't mind looking pale; I do mind looking old and leathery.
