What's your passion? Outside of your DH/DW/FH/FW (obviously we're passionate about them!), what really turns you on? What makes you tick? What do you love to do? Invest time, money, etc into? Are you a dancer? Love helping rescue animals? Underprivileged kids?

I'll start: My PASSION is Arab Dance. I've studied for almost 14 years. I've taken classes from some of the most amazing teachers in the world. There's just something about classical Egyptian style "cabaret" dance, and folkloric dance that makes my heart beat faster.

Here's a couple pictures.

what are YOU passionate about?

Bookcase that sweater is everything! I am so jealous because I loooove to craft but I don't have the touch lol. My projects usually end up hidden somewhere, lol.

I'm passionate about animals too, and have always made sure to lend my time, money, and home to animals in need.

I love writing/English, and in grad school I was able to teach English at the University for a year. I loved it, and I wish sometimes I had pursued that career part (but I was already down another road). Now I'm in a job that I absolutely do not love, but I'm paid highly enough that I don't think I can take a risk trying to start over teaching again. Hopefully one day I can pursue that passion, whether it's writing on my own or teaching courses again, somewhere, somehow.

I'm passionate about *insert corniness here* wreath making. It started out as a hobby, but has turned into a full blown side business for me! I enjoy it so much more than my 9-5! Here are a few of the favorites I've done!

I'm passionate about reading, animals (I want to take in all the kitties and doggies), and this might sound weird, but friendships.

I don't have a super close family so my friends are like my life. And I live so far away from most of my close friends so it's hard, but I'm really passionate about maintaining those friendships.

Thanks, everybody! I think the key with knitting or quilting is to pick a project you're excited about. For both things, once you've got the basic skills down, don't worry about whether you're picking something that's "too hard." If you love the item, you'll be motivated to finish. I hate knitting scarves, but I've made dozens of sweaters.

I am a teacher. As any GOOD teacher knows, teaching is so much more than just my job. Honestly, that's why so many teachers leave before their 5th year, because they are just not equipped to handle the unique challenges of what we do. I am passionate about teaching, I am passionate about my students. Some people might call me a bit of a workaholic - I am one of the last people to leave my building each day. But I am a perfectionist and I am just the type of teacher who is constantly redoing lessons, constantly trying to be better. People who aren't in education would probably be surprised at how political and "old boys club" the school system is. I have only ever wanted to be a teacher - as I joke sometimes, I have no "aspirations". What I mean by that is, I don't kiss ass - I don't have to because I am not trying to become an administrator or get a central office job. I don't have to play the politics, so I just say and do what I feel is in the best interests of my students, and no one else. That's what I'm passionate about!

Cats. I'm seriously passionately into saving all the abandoned kitties! I can't have one now, but I donate frequently to a no-kill shelter near me that rescues cats and dogs that have been at kill shelters around the country for a long time and are at risk of being put-down. I wish I could do more, but giving money is my only tool at the moment!

I'm also really passionate about women's issues, particularly women in STEM. My more "fun" passions include skiing/snowboarding (I'm OBSESSED. FH makes fun of me for basically being a human snow report in the winters!). I used to be passionate about swimming, but now I'm passionate about giving my shoulders a much deserved break so I've been getting into running.

    Volunteer work for animal rescue!

Teaching women & children self defense. Love boosting their confidence and helping teach them tricks to get out of potentially harmful situations.

When I've seen someone grow and find their confidence. Especially after something horrific has tried to take that from them. Best feeling is seeing them smile when they correctly defend themselves.
