NYC / Brooklyn - first look and location photos

FH and I are between Madison square park and Central Park for our wedding photos. We did our engagement shoot at the Brooklyn Promenade/Brooklyn heights

Prospect Park

Botanical Gardens

The highline

The Cloisters

Where's your ceremony/reception? Given how long it takes to get back there, the suggestions should be based on that, right?

Jane's Carousel in Brooklyn Bridge Park seems like a fun place to take photos!

The BK Bridge or BK Bridge Park would make for beautiful photos!

Most Requested Locations are as follows:

-Central Park

-Dumbo

-Times Square

-Brooklyn Bridge

-Grand Central

-Brooklyn Bridge Park

-Bryant Park

-Gantry State Plaza

-Central Park Conservatory Gardens

Dumbo as overused as it is, is really beautiful. Also LIC waterfront is nice as well.

For our engagement shoot, I was thinking the Brooklyn Museum and Brooklyn Botanic Garden, as what was effectively our first date was at the former.

For first look photos, we'll probably do Central Park and/or Park Avenue.

Thanks for all the suggestions! Sorry for the late response i've been traveling between nyc and Florida! We are actually getting married at a little Italian restaurant in williamsburg and staying at the William Vale hotel. So we are going to do first look photos and we are going to do day after photos since my friends are the photographers and they want to build up their portfolio for NYC!

Williamsburg is pretty cool and should not be hard to get some nice street shots. You'll also be really close to the waterfront so you should be able to get some nice skyline views near the hotel. I had drinks two weeks ago at the William Vale and it is a gorgeous hotel! The views are spectacular. I'd even try to get some photos in the bar just for the view.

i know now this is over a year old. Congrats on your anniversary!!!! I wanted to ask you how the first look photos went at the William Vale hotel? I asked them if my fiancé and I could take first look photos on the rooftop and they said no. Our only option was to upgrade our existing room with a larger balcony and take them there. I’m a little upset as we already spent a pretty penny on the current room we have reserved. Is there anyone specific that you spoke with when making your arrangements? Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
