Hi everyone! We are getting married on NYE 2021! I am wondering if there are any other couples getting married on this day too? Just looking to connect and see others thoughts and ideas?! I am hoping COVID will be gone but totally know it is a possibility it wont be.

I thought of something else! What are you all doing for centerpieces? Are you going to have NYE party hats and headbands to pass out closer to midnight?

Our hotel has a price for reg room, junior suite and then suite. The regular room is $153 a night and junior suite was a little under 200 a night.

    Hi Kristen,

We are in the same exact position. How many guests are you planning to invite? We are inviting 100 which is currently the limit in our state. It’s so exciting to have a NYE wedding!

That’s a great idea. We were supposed to start our ceremony at 4:00 however I think we could move the wedding up to 3 PM and start the cocktail hour at 6 PM and then start the reception from 7:30 to 12:30

That sounds good! I didn’t even think to do a break between the ceremony and cocktail hour. We are planning as if the COVID restrictions will be better by then and pretty much our entire family has to Travel so we wanted to make it easy and have everything in one place. We added an hour to our reception so we could do the ceremony at 6:30 then cocktail hour 7-8 followed by reception 8-1. Somehow we ended up saving money by extending. I think she has us down for add ons we didn’t want lol

I love this thread btw! It's great to talk to other people who are planning a wedding on New Year's Eve. There's just something so special about a New Year's Eve wedding in my opinion. Vendors tend to get so excited when we tell them we are getting married on New Year's Eve.

I've purchased "vintage" looking clocks and debating whether to have them set them all to 11:59 or set them according to the table number.

We were thinking of setting clocks to the table number but realized it wouldn't work because we will have more than 12 tables.

We're doing ornament wreaths with a hurricane and candles in the middle. We are having NYE favors. Just got two box sets for 100 people each that we will have a table set up with. Similar to this but our colors. Navy, Rose Gold, with champagne and silver accent. nye 2021 Wedding 2

Q: for my fellow NYE brides. What are you doing for photography to capture midnight? It’s going to be really expensive to keep our photographer the until after midnight so I’m wondering what we could do to still capture that midnight moment.

I would see if you could extend the photographer with a break. Not sure on your timelime.

Lots of New Years Eve Brides this is amazing! It makes me feel better because I was a bit worried I was going to receive hate about the date choice. Any ideas for alternatives to ballon drops? Or things to do at midnight?

I too have this started. I planned on having them sitting at 12o’clock, 1o’clk and so on. And having a large circle piece of wood made to look like a clock with the names written under the number for their table however now that I have a guest list together I’m looking at 19 tables so I’m unsure if this would be a good idea🤔 maybe I’ll do mini pieces of wood for 12:30 and such for the rest of the guest. Idk I’m trying to figure something out🙈😭
