Nye-this Could Be Magical!

If you are wanting to get married that quickly you are going to have to do a ton of research if you are looking to have traditional wedding as most venues and vendors are likely already booked. The first and most important thing is going to be finding a venue. It's hard/impossible to book other vendors without having a venue first. I would also work on a guest list. Your venue needs to be big enough to accommodate everyone you plan on inviting. Once you have a venue decided I would suggest getting invitations. A lot of people have plans on New Year's that if you want them to be able to attend you will want to give them plenty of notice.

A NYE wedding can certainly be fun and magical but don't be surprised if its extra expensive. How many guest are you planning on inviting, another thing to consider is if people are coming in from out of town it might be hard to get affordable hotel rooms and people should book that soon. My fiancé's birthday is New YrsDay and its actually a bit of pain because people always have plans on new yrs, restaurants and bars often have parties with expensive tickets and hotel prices go through the roof. Another issue is since so many people have nye parties vendors may be hard to find. I think if you are doing something on a small scale with a very short guest list its probably doable (as long as your guest don't already have holiday plans) but if you are looking for a big shin-dig it might be tricky and extra expensive this late in the game. You definitely need to start planning and notifiying your guests ASAP. Happy planning and congrats to you both!

We're getting married NYE 2022! It's worked out well for us in terms of vendors- most of our vendors have been about half the high season cost (high season being May-October) and we've been able to book a lot of vendors later (only a couple months in advance) because the winter doesn't book up as far in advance - at least that's been our experience, and we're getting married in an international destination wedding location.

NYE 2022 Bride here! I have had maybe one vendor I wanted that was booked that day! I’ve also had great luck with the vendors we have and no one has gone up on their pricing just because it’s on a holiday.

That’s my date too! We have been together 4 years this month and he proposed at the beach on the 4th of July. We thought it was only appropriate to have more fireworks at our wedding. 🥰🥰 I can’t wait but we are getting so close it’s crazy!! 😮

Sooo i got engaged last Halloween, i had the church and venue booked before thanksgiving! I just knew prices would go up and being a holiday i wanted to get it locked in. Just fyi make sure to read those contracts! Bc of New Years we are obviously staying later than 12pm- there may be extra costs for extra time and the holiday surcharge.


The beauty and magic of a New Years Eve wedding is that we ARE peoples New Years plans! Lol it wasn’t hard to convince ppl to show up to an open bar wedding (buying in bulk at Costco and hired a bartender to serve!) it’s really a party to celebrate us! Your deadline is tight but really cutting the guest list and managing your own expectations is gunna be key.

NYE bride here…. 10 weeks congrats

I'm getting married on NYE too, and as others have said, I didn't find it more expensive. We still got the "off peak season" pricing at our venue because it's December. Good luck!

I am a New Years Eve bride as well! We did find that most hotels were exorbitant in pricing so we chose a small mom and pop venue and they have been amazing to work with and half the price of what you would pay for a wedding even on a holiday. You can also support your local VFW / Elks / or Firemen by using their hall as well. That was our next choice. We also found that most venders expect to work on that night so it’s no big deal to them. Congratulations and Good Luck!!! ❤️❤️

Awwww, I love this Lydia same here so far on venues we have been lucky as well. We are planning more of a wedding dinner than a reception. But we will still have the couples first dance and the restaurant is allowing us to bring in a DJ.
