Oahu Venues (Has anyone had their wedding at Turtle Bay Resort?)

Mokobun, on June 2, 2017 at 3:37 PM Posted in Planning 0 4

Has anyone had/will have their wedding at Turtle Bay Resort?

Would you be able to share your experience?

I'm planning a small destination wedding with 30-45 guests next May in Oahu, Hawaii.

First I really liked Four Seasons at Ko O'lina, but found out with my number of guests and budget I will have to do ceremony & reception at two different spots. (and the outdoor ceremony spot they recommend seems way too small). Otherwise I would have to pay 20K minimum food & beverage fee, which is out of my budget.

Now I'm kinda liking Turtle Bay Resort but I can't seem to find very many reviews for them.

Does anyone had their wedding at Turtle bay or been to a wedding there? Would you recommend?

OR if anyone has good recommendation for ceremony & reception venue in Oahu, please let me know!

I'm looking for a quiet, ocean front outdoor venue that I can do ceremony & reception together. (I don't like Waikiki area because it seems touristy and too busy.)

Thanks everyone!

XOXO

Hi Mokobun! Have you read through their reviews from past clients on WeddingWire?

I just went to a wedding there last summer and we stayed on the property for about a week. The property and the North Shore are my favorite parts of Oahu. It's much less busy and touristy than Waikiki.

My friend had a smaller wedding and did an oceanfront ceremony and reception on the cliff at Turtle Bay. Another option that we saw was to do an oceanfront ceremony and the reception in this glass building on the same cliff. I didn't notice any other people coming by or into the wedding area, however, everyone can watch from their rooms (we did this the other nights). This is random, but they have the cutest cats all around the North Shore. I'm such a cat lady, it was hard not to adopt all the cats lol.

No suggestions but good call on nixing Waikiki. It is extremely touristy and can be very loud by the beach at night!
