October 2018 Wedding

Zach&Keylee, on September 26, 2017 at 1:16 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 16

Hey guys! This is my first post. My fiance and I are getting married October 2018. I'm stressing a little over decorations...I'm not a super creative person. Surprisingly, I pretty much have my centerpieces lined out, but I am unsure of how to decorate the rest of our venue. Our ceremony is at a beautiful chapel, it will be outside, and our reception will be at my family's farm both inside and outside one of our barns. Our theme is mostly fall/romantic. Not looking for overly rustic ideas...Any ideas are welcome, though. Thanks!

Also, if you have any decorations you're wanting to sell, feel free to show me those, too!

Our colors are navy, burgundy, orange, yellow, and brown. (Pretty much any fall color.)

Go to a Dollar Tree store if you have one in your state and they should have the fall decor out. Go and see if you can find d some things you like. I know the Fall decor is out here in my state of TN.

    I'm also October (7th) 2018!

All of my inspiration has come from Pinterest. You can also read wedding magazines, look around here or the Knot, stalk wedding photogs...and I watched a lot of Four Weddings! lol

We are planting mums and other fall flowers at my family farm (my venue). We are going to put up pictures in mismatched frames in and among the trees as a "walk our story". We are going to string up lots of antique looking lights in the trees. Just for some ideas!

I would not stress yet. Your ideas will change by the time next year rolls around. Keep an eye on pinterest and start a new board.

I also advise going to craft stores in November when they have all the fall stuff and getting ideas about what you like the look of and what you don't.

@Selene date twin! I'm the day before yours OP. I'd check Pinterest. If you get your ideas nailed down now you can catch all the clearance sales at Walmart and craft stores as fall goes away. That's my plan.

Date twin! I'm also doing a fall theme - our ceremony/reception will be in a refurbished barn, so I'm doing minimal decorations and letting the barn stand on its own. What are you thinking for centerpieces? Your vision sounds lovely!

I'm getting married Oct 13, 2018. I've started finding pumpkins on sale at Michaels, AC Moore, & QVC. I'm getting married at a winery in the VA mountains, so I'm not doing too much décor wise outside, but I will have lanterns with candles outside on the patio for the reception. I am having 2 fire pits and a s'mores bar. For centerpieces I'm leaning towards having pumpkins with bouquets in them. I'm doing navy, burgundy, cream and touches of gold. Most of my inspiration comes from pinterest.

My wedding is fall themed too. I'm going for "Enchanted Evening" and incorporating gold as an accent with teal. I plan to use pumpkins and such. This was inspo picture for flowers and colors

October 6, 2018 here, woot woot! We aren't decorating the church besides the aisle tulle or whatever that is and mini bouquets on every other pew. It's a gorgeous church as well so I don't want to take away from that.

Same concept for the reception. Ours is outdoors so I'm only worried about centerpieces. Our theme is "travel" so I'm playing around with globe paper lanterns and simple things to not take away from the gorgeous scenery we'll be sitting in the middle of.

All I know is that I'm making a list of things I KNOW I'll need such as easels, torches, citronella candles, candle holders, paint (for my DIY signs), etc and will try to search for them on Black Friday or Cyber Monday this year. Smiley smile

Also an October 2018 bride Smiley laugh

Our venue is an old feed mill, so a similar feel. Aside from the tables, we are keeping it simple with string lighting and décor that's already incorporated. I really think in those settings, less is more!
