Checking in 😍😍 What are you all working on? In a bit of a lull right now.. trying to figure out what to work on next! Time is flying by! I can't believe tomorrow will be May already.

I've never heard of sola wood flowers but they look gorgeous and affordable! I might do the same. Thanks for the suggestion!

Yes I was drawn to them since they are super affordable and unique! The DIY process has been kind of long for me but I will hopefully be making a post of the final product soon!

If you are crunched on time or don't want to mess with the flower dyeing process (lots of trial and error involved), I've seen someone mention DIY bouquets from Luv2DoItYourself on Etsy before which is still cheaper than the completed product. Most sola wood flower "stores" will also dye them for you but it might be a couple month lead-time.

All I have is the venue. I'm super overwhelmed. So busy I feel like I won't get it done in time. Caterer i wanted is booked same with photographer. Sent out save the dates. I don't really know where to go from here. After reading what everyone else has done I feel wayyyy behind.

I found my caterer on Thumbtack.com.. don't be overwhelmed. One thing at a time ❤️ I would focus on caterer, then photographer and DJ if you're having one. Maybe ask your venue if they have a preferred vendor list?

October 12, here. Thanks to everybody here, we ordered our invitations and details cards the other night, while Vistaprint still had the up to 50% off sale going. We got our STDs from them and were really happy with the quality. The main things we have left to do are to get his ring engraved and polished, get his suit and shoes, I need to make my veil (I just need a comb), and I'm doing something crazy and doing my own dress alterations. I want to add lace to it (I'm a seamstress, so this isn't the most terrifying thing in the world). I'm waiting on two more samples to come in before I pick the one I'll use, and then I'll probably need to tea dye it. We have the venue, rentals, caterer, cake, florist, and the playlist is started.

You'll be fine! You can always ask your venue for caterer referrals. And photographers, for that matter. You're right on time for finding your dress, getting the cake, and figuring out decor. Don't stress. You have enough time.

Pretty much everything is booked expect for photographer and officiant. It’s just a matter of paying everything off. I’m trying to decide if we want to have a videographer. We’re on a tight budget. My fiancé uncle was going to be our officiant but now he no longer can. I have to find wedding shoes (I never thought it would be this hard to find wedding shoes), a veil, wedding jewelry, undergarments for my dress, book a makeup/hair trial and print off my invitations. I sometimes get so overwhelmed, I don’t know where to begin.

Well I'm feeling a little behind after reading posts so I am on it Haha. I have the church, venue, my dress, 2 bridesmaids received their dresses already, 2 are missing, men are easy they just rent tux and buy shoes-lucky! I still have to get a DJ and florist. I have a photographer already. Working on my playlist for church and reception, just mailed out my invitations for the bridal party (late but they have no idea I'm sending them formal invites) they already agreed 😂. Save the dates are going out this weekend and I'm having a hard time deciding on the invitations so many beautiful ones to choose from! I'm also working on my vision board ideas for hall and centerpieces. Still deciding on a honeymoon location, and need to set up meetings with priest, hall for food tasting and bakery for deciding on a cake and design. This is so difficult when you work a lot! But I'm trying my best.

We are 10.19.19! I have everything lined up but need to give deposits to hold our selections. Spoke to photographer last night and that was the last person I needed to book! I'm waiting on the dress for a few more months. I sent out save the dates and am working on choosing an invitation. Need to find FH's ring--he doesn't wear jewelry so I want to find something unique and comfy (hopefully)! I have my hair dresser lined up but am not sure about make-up yet. Then begins all the DIY projects like the arbor, icechests etc... I've been searching for personalized napkins and treat bags, as well as, items for the tables. Somedays I feel like I'm going to have an anxiety attack with everything that needs to get done, other days I feel like there's no rush. It's hard to time/budget all of this out.

October 26th here! Venue has been booked and paid for since January. I have my dress which I will get altered in a few months. shoes coming. I've finished my centerpieces and most of my decorations. Going to be making my arch soon. Most other small details planned...I have the guest list done, food lists and recipes. We're doing tea type finger foods, so my several of my friends and I are doing the food. I have my invitations already too. Luckily, I have two wonderful friends who are coordinating everything on the wedding day. They hostess and event plan often do I've been told all I have to do is get beautiful and show up on time! I will NOT worry about anything else that day. I'm not doing a seating chart as the wedding is an afternoon tea/garden theme. I want it free flowing with us enjoying our friends and relatives. Making sure I have as much done ASAP since the next few months are spent building an addition to his house, decorating and getting my house sorted for the move.

Hi y'all. Smiley ring Looking at all the vendors available for our wedding in October & it's overwhelming the amount of Vendors but also great! Smiley laugh there are so many vendors on here. Our site...Leu Gardens has a "Preferred Vendor List" that is super expensive! Smiley diamond so trying to think of ways around using them for the dinner & making it a "buffet style" catered food....where we can order from a Restaurant that doesn't look ghetto. Suggestions?

I am 10/5 and things are getting crazy real! We got everyone booked, and I think all trails scheduled but my hair and make up. We ordered our wedding rings the other day, and super excited for those to come in!

    Things I am working on:

Finishing buying the small things (guest book, photo frames for the memory table, toasting glasses) I want to say this is all that's left for the table set ups.

Figure out the bouquets: unsure to pay someone from Etsy/southern bloom co to make one for me, or buy all the supplies and do it all myself. Think that seems cheaper.

Get FH to figure out where he is getting his tux, and what he is going to do for bachelor party

    Buy the invites

Last but not least, working on time line for day of.

Oh plus planning on things for the Honeymoon (Las Vegas!)

Feel like I am doing really well as its just over shy of 5 months away!

I'm on 10/19 too but only got engaged in March, so I have to pull it all together pretty quickly. Luckily I'm an event planner, so it's not that heavy a lift. The venue I selected is full service, so they are handling catering, cake, floral, decor and day-of-coordinator. I've got DJ, photographer and officiant. We just ordered our rings and I had to give them my engagement ring for matching - it was a bummer to hand it over. This week I've got the first meeting with my planner at the venue, my first dress shopping appointment and later this month my tasting (yes!). Save the dates are out, wedding web page created, and basic registry has been started.

Where I'm feeling really behind is the dress, since finding that will drive a bunch of other decisions - hair style, shoes, attire formality for fiance... His 10 y.o. daughter will be the only other person in our ceremony, so I need to figure out her attire, but don't have to worry about other attendants. I'm trying to avoid doing a bunch of DIY, I just don't have the bandwidth for that stuff. I figure as long as I have amazing food and drink, I think my guests will be happy.

October 12th here Smiley smile Time really is flying by! We started planning last November, and I feel like I blinked and am already 5 months away. I've secured venue (includes catering), photographer, DJ, gotten my dress and bridesmaids dresses, sent save the dates, booked honeymoon, designed and published the wedding website, and I know I've done more but that is the big stuff! Now I am working on invitations, and working on finding and booking my florist and cake baker!
