We are postponing. We decided it would be best for everyone and especially FMIL who is undergoing treatment and is immunocompromised. Instead we are eloping the day before our original date, and having a vow renewal & celebration next Spring.

We ended up deciding to postpone. I was really set on keeping our date and just having significantly less people but we had a call with our venue and they said that they can't allow dancing, dance music, mingling, or group photos on sight. just couldn't deal with all those restrictions. So here's to hoping next fall things are less bananas.

We have decided to postpone our October 24, 2020 reception, but still plan on getting married at the courthouse on our date! We've rescheduled our reception for October 22, 2021, so that we can have a one year anniversary party / vow renewal of sorts. His family is from the UK, and a lot of guests would be traveling. Not to mention, we don't want to risk anybody getting sick even with the precautions our venue was providing. I actually feel a lot better having put it off and not having to worry about it for another year!

Pa bride here.. As of right now still planning on getting married in Oct but might have to move the reception party until next year. My fiance has family flying in from states that's on the state's quarantine list. So what do we do? I'm holding off on sending invitations for a few weeks..

We did the exact same! We eloped just the two of us (no guests) on our OG date of 10/16 and postponed our actual wedding to next October. We're still having our ceremony as planned, but it will be a vow renewal. And then the reception/celebration to follow.

I wish we would have scheduled for October 2021, we scheduled our vow renewal for May and IDK if things will be better until then.

Yeah that’s what we’re thinking! We may have to postpone one more time lol but I know a lot of people are going through this.
