October 2020 Brides... when are you sending Save The Dates?

J, on December 3, 2019 at 10:25 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 18

When are you sending your Save The Dates, or have you already sent them out? My internal debate is whether to send them early December or early January. They are online so I don’t have to worry about them getting lost in the mail, but I do want my guests to receive them in their inboxes at non hectic time of the year!

I would send them in January once the holidays are over. That's still plenty of notice.

I am snail mailing mine- but I am sending out of state addresses this week and will send the remainder mid January. I figured it gives the OOS people a little extra time to plan their year if they decide to come. We are 10/10/2020 which is the most popular date of 2020, so we want to give everyone plenty notice.

I agree with early January! That's still 9+ months in advance; if you send in December -- email or snail mail -- I think it's more likely they get lost/forgotten in the busyness of the holidays. In January, they will be a welcome reminder of something great to look forward to later in the year.

I'd do early January, mail gets lost or seriously delayed more often this time of year. January will still give people 9 months of notice!

I'm sending them this week due to accommodation issues within the area. Just want to be sure everyone has a place to stay Smiley smile

I sent mine last week for my 10.10.2020 wedding. Everyone was excited to get them. Send when you want!

I'm getting married 10/3/20 and i'm going to send them in january once the holidays are over so people's holiday cards aren't getting into the mix of them all.
