Congratulations of getting engaged!! Absolutely not too soon. I think its a great amount of time to plan everything. We got engaged in August,thought about 2019 and decided against it because it was too much for us especially me( like looking for a dress and venue) I felt like everything would be taken up. Plus we just were going to be moving in at the end of August so we decided on Oct. 2020. I've been stress free honestly so far. fingers crossed. I totally agree about November being too cold out. Did you want to have like your ceremony and cocktail hour outside?

Date twins!! Yes, like I think I started looking as soon after we got home from our vacation in August for a venue. Late November we booked it because the event planner at our top place said she kept getting inquires about the date. We're going to be booking our DJ very soon. Dresses will most definitely be looked at later this year. I haven't tried any one yet either. I keep looking on Etsy for decorations. I Favorited a bunch so once I know what I actually need it's just a click away haha! Good luck

Yeah my biggest fear is that if we pick a date that seems too soon, that we'll stress through all of the planning and not be able to enjoy our engagement! Oct. 2021 just seems so dang far away!

Honestly, I'm not entirely sure how formal/informal we want everything... we haven't gotten to really dig into planning. My sister is getting married at the end of April, so I'm trying to hold off as much as I can so that I can focus on being the best MOH right now

I would love for as much of the day to be outside as possible, but of course if it's cold outside, we'd transition indoors as the sun goes down. Still working on the church vs. no church ceremony discussion...

August 1, 2020 is our date and we have a venue, photographer, DJ and that’s about it. I’m starting to get her things for bridesmaids as a formal ask. I am also looking at colors, flowers and we are also taking dance lessons to surprise our families on our first dance! And I have my first dress appointment to try on in May of this year. Never start these things too early and glad we did! Our DJ and photographer were almost booked completely for the year 2020!! But that’s all we got so far! I hope that helps!

10/3/2020. We have booked out venue, dj, photographer, videographer and photo booth. All but eh venue came in a package for a great price. We will be doing our engagement photos in October.

Oh my gosh! I'm October 11th, 2020! I'm a total planner and I have loved wedding planning so we're ahead of the game I feel like, I have my dress, the venue, the dj, the organist, photographer and just booked the florist yesterday. I have an officiant in mind but its so early he asked me to reach back out to him in Jan so we are pretty much good for the big stuff. We still are looking into a photo booth of some sort and then the cake is provided by the venue but we need to pick a design and flavor for that. The big stuff is done, small details still remain! I have not bought any decor yet but I did check out etsy and have some things hanging out in my cart.

Since then we've gotten our DJ, I got my dress, my hair dresser, MUA( i have a trial with her next week). I really just need a florist,officiant and our cake. Small details remain for us too like buying a card box, signs and stuff like that. I've been looking. I feel like I'm so picky but honestly I just want the details to be perfect.

October 10, 2020 We have our venue, cake, caterer, rentals, DOC, photographer, DJ, honeymoon, hair and makeup. I have started buying stuff for our centerpieces. We atr doing feathers so I have been getting them from China so they take some time. Really excited. I will do my wedding dress shopping in March. I have about 30lbs I want to lose.

Getting married 10/10/2020

We have already booked our ceremony and reception venues. We have just booked our cake baker. We are currently working on the DJ and photographer. I have made appointments with 2 different dress shops for this coming week. Getting excited about the Bridal Expo in a few weeks. My FMIL has been shopping around for specific decorations.

I am also getting married on 10/10/2020. I was told it is one of the most popular dates for 2020. We have the venue, a photographer, and a DJ set up. I also have my wedding dress!

If anyone wants to talk about wedding plans and ideas, let me know. I don't really have anyone to talk to about this.

We are getting married October 3, 2020. We have our venue with caterer, DJ and Photographer. Completed our guest list. Sent out save the date magnets and started pieces for centerpieces. I also have my dress! I think we are doing pretty good. Oh and we have our celebrant.

I'm also a 10/10/2020 bride! So far we have our venue which includes a planner, florist, catering, and DJ. We also have a photographer, officiant, and hopefully cake. I have my dress, but I need to get it altered. We know who we want for our wedding party, but we haven't officially asked yet. I'm in grad school, currently doing a rotation out of state, so we have to wait until November to get our engagement pictures and start planning out the details! I'm so excited thought. I hope this year flies by!

Another 10/10/2020 bride over here! It's so cool seeing all our date twins!

So far we have the venue, church, catering, cake, and photographer. I think I am going to go dress shopping in a couple weeks, but I am leaning towards buying used so it won't take a year to come in.

When are y'all sending STDs (or did you already)? We are thinking of sending ours in January as just about everyone will be traveling (but people already know the date, as we announced it on Facebook back in May/June).

I'm 10/10/20! I have my dress, but that is it. YIKES! Just the thought of wedding planning gives me anxiety and nightmares.

I'm 10/17/20! We have our venue, ceremony location, cake/cupcakes, flowers, photographer, DJ, and I just said yes to the dress last night! We are asking our wedding party this weekend. I am so excited!

When are you sending your save the dates? I have no idea when to do this. Also, are you choosing to put pictures on your save the dates?
