Depends on your state? I’m getting married in October in PA and as far as we are concerned, we are going through with it. Whether we have our original guest count or not, we already postponed once due to the virus and are not striking out twice!

I would wait it out until August! Hopefully by then if something needs to be adjusted, the vendors reach out to you first & won’t charge you.

10/10/2020 bride here! I'm riding it out until the end of summer, so early August I will make a decision of what to do and then send out my invites. Until then, this'll give me some time to see how things are looking and how fast our phases of reopening the state are going. I'm in CA and the governor will be starting phase 2 at the end of this week so this gives me some hope. Either way I still want to get married this year. Even if it'll have to end up being a backyard wedding with close family. I've read on here that some fall brides are contacting their venues/vendors and coming up with a "soft hold" on another date for next year just in case. This way you'll have a backup date but can still keep your original date for the time being. Hope this helps!

We actually looked into them for our wedding but it just didn’t work out with our plans we had in mind!! The nicest people own it though. They’re related to the people who live across the street from us. Best of luck with everything!!😊

I was pretty much set on making the decision by August but then my fiancé’s family reached out (they’re from LA California) saying I should just postpone and that coming to PA for a wedding isn’t worth their health. When I explained we have no idea what could happen in that amount of time they said they also didn’t want to wait until August to get flights and hotels and prices will more then likely rise. This is his mom and brother so it’s obviously important they’re at the wedding. I’m just so stressed and confused. I don’t want to come off as selfish

From what I’ve seen on the news, airlines are limiting seats and spreading people out. I know his family is worried about hotels and flights but hotels can always be canceled if needed. I would just hate to postpone and then have things be okay by October😕

I'm getting married 10/10/2020 and my wedding planner said that she's recommending that all summer weddings reschedule, but that she wouldn't think of rescheduling an October one. So far, none of our vendors have said anything about cancelling and our venue is only shutting down if the government has a shelter in place order during that time so we're going full steam ahead!

I think It really depends on where you live and how they are opening. I am in Ohio. If we are at 50% capacity we will be good. My shower was to be 8/16/20 and it was moved to 9/20/20 because I felt the original venue would not allow proper distancing. I have less than 100 guests for my wedding and as long as the venue is available I am going through with it. This may sound harsh but I feel if someone doesn't want to come that is fine. Their choice. The most important people have already committed to coming. Even early next year in 2021 the virus won't be gone there will still be the same social distance guidelines. We just have to learn how to live with covid 19 being here. Until we are all mass vaccinated or the virus is stamped out. The only brides that are probably safe to not worry are Oct 21 and beyond into 2022 and 2023 That is just my thoughts. Best of luck to all of us in these crazy times. I guess we will all have a good story to tell our children!

We are 10/10 as well and are planning to wait for the summer to decide. We live in the Northeast but the wedding is in the South, where things are starting to open up. It's hard to tell and I go back and forth a lot, but I feel like the longer we wait, the better information we'll have to make a decision not only about whether to postpone but when to postpone to if we decide to go that way.

We are getting married 10/10 in Philadelphia and are still planning as normal. We spoke with our venue last week confirming details and menu and they told us they were only rescheduling weddings through July right now. I am hopeful with October being okay.

We are getting married 10/23/2020 in Wisconsin and we are hoping we can still have it. Our venue said they are hopeful we can still have it but cant guarantee it. We are willing to lower our guest list to 50 if need be. I really want to have our wedding at our venue but if need be we will alter our plan. We are going to wait untill July or August to make a decision. If our venue cancels on us we hope we can at least get our deposit back and take our plans to a hall and maybe have catering
