Hi everyone! We booked our venue and have our date picked (10/10/25), and as crazy as this sounds - I'm bored! I want to dive head first into planning and do all the things... but it's too soon. We do have a save the date picked out (too soon to order). I've made a guest list... and budgeting...

We booked our venue and have our date picked (10/10/25), and as crazy as this sounds - I'm bored!

I want to dive head first into planning and do all the things... but it's too soon. We do have a save the date picked out (too soon to order). I've made a guest list... and budgeting spreadsheets... and planning spreadsheets.... and have all the lists...

Any suggestions to scratch the planning itch without going overboard?

Don’t do it that early unless it’s a significant destination wedding. People will forget. They’ll lose the cards. You also may have some changes in the guest list in that length of time. Don’t tie yourself to a final list this early.

We are getting married 10/4/2025. We have our venue picked, our wedding party chosen. We have our colors picked out, they are plum, forest green, terracotta and ivory. My bridesmaids are wearing plum chiffon dresses. The groomsmen are wearing black tuxes, with forest green ties. We have 5 of our nephews as ushers. We have our food picked out for the cater. We will have an 5 hr open bar. We are doing a unity candle. and we are going for a rustic country wedding, we both love how it looks and fall is perfect for it. Our venue is located in the country.
