October brides-postpone or holding on

Hey fellow October brides, how are you guys holding up?? I’ve been pretty good throughout the pandemic but I think that’s because work has kept me busy but as of late, postponement thoughts have been on the horizon. In the state I reside the case have soared and we are now considered a hot spot. Beyond that, even with cutting the guest list and thinking about issuing mask, I’m still thinking about my family members and not wanting to put them at risk. I’m thinking of holding out till August to make my final decision on postponing till next year and my fiancé and I drafted up a few dates we would like for next year.

How are you guys holding up? Still holding strong or going the postponing route?

We are having challenges with our venue contract and rescheduling. A silver lining, at least your venue is providing an option to reschedule. Something 2020 has taught me, work will still be there. You get married 1x (preferably). So if you have to reschedule for safety, then it will be that way. Try to not stress in general. At the end of the day your marriage is most important.

So, my situation is weird. We didn't know if we would be able to keep our venue or not. We are moving during the first quarter of 2021, halfway across the US. So we were not postponing anything. My FMIL has a childhood best friends, whose husband has a venue near us. So we would forfeit our deposit and just have an outdoor wedding there (Halloween). But our venue called us this past Monday and told us the NJ governor gave us a go ahead for the wedding. 30% capacity, when our venue holds up to 300, so we will be fine.
